A few weeks passed, Shoto kept receiving your letters and so far, it was the only thing that kept him going.

He was often alone, and on top of that, your parents were constantly blaming him for your drug addiction every chance they got.

That wasn't the first time though, they also blamed him for the car accident that caused you to go on medication in the first place.

At this point, he let the calls go to vibrate. It was nothing new to them, they didn't really favor him in the first place.

Shoto had these nightmares, it was the same one almost every night. He would see himself in a different point of view with you, yelling and arguing.

And then he takes a handful of pills and shoved them into your mouth until you stopped struggling and then he'd wake up in the cold sweat.

It's like his guilt wouldn't leave him alone.

He would often think back to when he was trying to break you from your pill addiction. You both would yell and argue with each other, he'd shake you and scream at you.

He couldn't help but think of how differently he could've handled things.

In your letters, it's shown that you were getting better which was a good thing. But he still wasn't able to visit you yet or talk to you on the phone, and he missed that.

He missed your voice, your scent, your eyes, the way your hair felt. He missed you.Shoto had taken some time off of work because he wasn't mentally stable to be in the office, so Momo was currently second in command to make sure the company didn't go under.

The gang would constantly come by to check on him and tried to cheer him up when they can. Fuyumi decided to stay at the house because Shoto didn't like being alone in that big house.

One day, while Shoto was curled up in the bed and the door opened. "Sho?" Fuyumi says softly.

"Hm?"
"Momo's downstairs."

Shoto does a silent sigh. "Tell her I'll be down in a minute."

Shoto, in a sloth-like manner, walked down the stairs and saw Momo and Kyouka sitting on the love seat.

"Hello." He says, his voice more empty than it usually was.

"Hey Shoto, we thought you might want some company." Momo says.

Shoto walked towards the couch and takes a seat. "How are you feeling today?" Momo asked.

"Empty." Shoto responds.

"You really miss her."

"I do. I have this constant fear that they might never leave that place."

"You can't think that Shoto. It'll get better."

Jiro gets up and gives Shoto a hug. "I thought I was gonna spend the rest of my life in Rehab, eventually I knew it was for my own good,"

"The withdrawal was Hell, almost painful. But, When it was over I knew it was the only way to go back to normal."

"Do you ever think about....about when it happened?"

"Once in a while, I do. But that's normal." Jiro nudges Shoto's shoulder. "You're gonna be okay too."

The following week, Shoto decided to get up and go to work. He sat in his large chair and looked around his office as if it changed since he left. But no, it was just as he left it. But he did think about putting a few plants in.

Later on in the day, Shoto was walking back from a meeting when Momo grabbed his attention when he came near her desk.

"Shoto, you have a call.""Can you leave a message?"

"I think you might wanna take this call." Momo says.

"Alright." He goes into his office and picks up the office phone.

"This is Shoto Todoroki speaking."

"Hi Shoto."

His eyes widened, and it felt like the wind was knocked out of his chest.

"(y/n)? (y/n)! Hi!"

"Hi Shoto!" You say again.

"Oh my God, I didn't expect you to...I thought that..."

"They said that I was doing well, so they let me have access to the phone early."

Shoto placed a hand over his mouth as he choked on a sob. He missed you so much.

"Aw Sho, please don't cry. You know I'm a crybaby." You say trying to hold in your tears as well.

"How are you?" He asked after quickly getting himself together."I'm well." You say.

"(y/n), I've missed you so much."

"I've missed you too Sho. Can you visit yet?"

"Not yet, they said they'll let me know when I can. But as soon as I do, I'll be on my way."

"Shoto?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you sing for me? I've missed your voice."

Shoto gives a smile. "Yeah, I will. Are you ready?"

"I'm ready."

"There'll be no darkness tonight
Lady our love will shine
Lighting the night
Lighting the light

Just put your trust in my heart
And meet me in paradise
Now in the time

Girl, you're every wonder
In this world, to me
A treasure time won't steal away

So listen to my heart
Lay your body close to mine
Let me fill you with my dreams

I can make you feel alright
And baby through the years
Gonna love more each day
So I promise you tonight
That you will always be the lady of my life~'

"How was that?" He asked.

"Wonderful as always." You say.

"Maybe next time I'll hear you sing the whole song."

"You will don't worry,"

"Have you talked to anyone else yet?" He adds on.

"No, not yet. But they've been writing to me nonstop since I got here. It's a little hard to keep up with all the letters I've been getting."

Shoto lets out a soft chuckle. "It's so good to hear your voice again (y/n)."

"Yours too. The tape recorder isn't really the same but it's something for me to hold on to."

"Are you eating?" He asked.

"Mhm, the food is amazing here. I get the jasmine rice almost every night. I think it's my new comfort food."

"Well, when you come home I'll make you a big bowl of jasmine rice. I'll even make some red duck curry with it. How does that sound?"

"I can smell it already. I can't wait,""It's almost time for me to go." You add.

"Already?"

"Yeah. Unfortunately."

"It was so good hearing from you (y/n), I've really missed you."

"I've missed you too Shoto...I'll be home soon. I love you."

"I love you too, Sweetheart. Get well."

After saying your goodbyes. Shoto hangs up the phone and sits in his chair. After that short three minutes, the world started to turn again.
