laid flat on his stomach, renjun hummed along to a song he and chenle had learnt when they were only young - before chenle's father passed away he would sing them to sleep, and the tune became somewhat of a comforting melody
his year and the year below had study break for two hours, as the two years above were currently having tests and exam practice - the heads of the first and second year had decided to open the hall for a study hall session, and the field was also open for students to study together
"injunnie!" he jumped at the loud voice, turning his torso to meet chenle's eyes and smiling kindly
"hi lele," he paused, watching as his brother ran up to them "i thought you were in study hall with jaemin and jeno?"
"well.. chenle," was all the younger said, and the three laughed heartily
"understandable" renjun giggled, the two taking places on the freshly cut grass and pulling out books and pens from their bags, chenle taking one of renjun's pastel highlighters to highlight a whole paragraph on one of the first few pages
"babe, you're not gonna remember anything highlighting in big chunks.." jisung laughed gently, taking the soft blue highlighter out of his boyfriend's hand before returning it to renjun's little pile of stationery
they giggled amongst each other, before turning to the eldest of the three after hearing a pained whimper
"injunnie? are you alright?" chenle asked quietly, sitting up to check renjun's face all over "you're burning up" jisung almost jumped to his feet, lifting renjun up off the ground before asking chenle to pack away all of their things and wait there, before he helped his brother walk, arm hooked around his waist and renjun's around his neck
"too hot.." the omega whimpered, his world spun and he stumbled on his feet before his vision faded and he fell forward, losing consciousness
jisung caught him quickly, lifting the smaller into his arms before running inside and down the hall
he ran into the clinic, the nurse, mr kang, jumped and placed a hand on his chest
"heat?" jisung nodded "is he mated?"
"no.. but they're here," mr kang only nodded
"please bring them here, are you a friend..?"
"oh- no, he's my older brother," jisung smiled "is mr kim in?"
"he's just on lunch break, he'll be back any minute," jisung thanked him, before running out and towards the study hall
he came to a halt after running through the hall, stopping at a table settled in the corner and drowned in books and sheets, two figures talking quietly amongst one another
"hyungs-" he began, breathing in "renjun's in heat," and the two were gone in an instant, disappearing down the hallways with a slightly bitter scent left behind, filled with worry
jaemin smiled lightly as mr kim walked in - his cousin's friend and one of the nurses for the school
"hyung, he smells so nice.." he breathed the scent in, the usual neutral tone of renjun's butter-cream scent was sickly sweet, strong with a heavy tone of sugar and a thick musk of lemon filling his nose - his slick
renjun shuffled uncomfortably, thighs rubbing together as he whimpered in his sleep, tears rolling down his cheeks in discomfort
jeno pulled the thin covers off of the omega and lifted renjun into his arms, chest clenching at the sound of the little one crying in his hold and shuffling as he whined, coated in a thin layer of sweat
jeno's eyes suddenly flashed a bright red, and he quickly passed renjun to jaemin, clutching his head as his pupils dilated with the scent of the omega and his slick, his warmth surrounding the office in unbearable waves
"okay- jeno could you just leave the room for a moment - he's unmated and it'll effect the trigger more than other people" jaemin blinked
"trigger?"
"you two, both of you, meeting renjun triggered his hormones - you're his mates" he suddenly smiled, caressing renjun's cheek
"definitely?" doyoung, the nurse, laughed gently and nodded
"definitely - i can smell it around you two" doyoung chuckled, before he turned to jeno "his pheromones are affecting you more heavily as your senses are more advanced than jaemin's, you smelt his heat before it came on, yes?" jeno nodded "i thought so, i'll be giving him some tablets to take daily, and he can have all the time he needs off of school" jaemin nodded, watching as his boyfriend stepped out of the room
"he smells so nice, hyung, i feel.." he trailed off, eye's flickering between his deep brown and a maroon red
"angry?" jaemin nodded, staring at the omega "protective instincts are more common in alphas, makes sure to step out of the room if it gets too much"
"could- could you tell my hyung that i'm staying with renjun?"
"of course, now go and take him home," doyoung smiled, passing jaemin a box of tablets before ushering him out, watching the boys leave
