twirling his pen in his fingers, jaemin raised an eyebrow, grinning at his homeroom teacher
"are you gonna send me to isolation, miss?" he cocked his head to the side, eyes flashing a bright red in warning
"i'll send you if you continue to disturb my class, mr na." she snapped, taking a seat at her desk before continuing talking about their first term back at school
jaemin rolled his eyes, leaning back in his chair as he let his eyes close, arms folded over his chest and calming his fast-paced heart, feeling his wolf howling and barking to be let out - to eliminate the threat
his wolf calmed as a hand landed on his lower arm gently, looking to his left after opening his eyes and humming in content as jeno rubbed his forearm with his thumb, his eyes were droopy and fading from red to the usual chocolate tone, his wolf must've been giving him a hard time as there were many transfer students from a school the next town over - jeno's wolf had always been quite the hyperactive one
homeroom finished and jaemin dragged his feet to his first lesson - science. jeno followed loosely on his trail, falling asleep as soon as he slid in his seat - jaemin laughed gently, remembering the time his boyfriend fell asleep on a backless chair and fell into the counters at the back of the classroom
he linked his fingers with the elder's as the class began, the teacher glancing over to jeno but choosing not to say anything after noticing jaemin's eyes glow red as he admired his boyfriend
she stood at the front of the classroom, looking at the door every few minutes as if expecting somebody
"today we have two new students joining us! they are our transfers and are really nice girls, please make them welcome" she smiled upon seeing two girls step in, one was radiating pure confidence and pride whilst the other seemed to be more shy, hiding behind the other slightly as she looked around the class
"please may you introduce yourselves" ms. jeong smiled
"my name is shin ryujin," the first girl bowed, eyes flashing red as she stood up straight "i'm a half-bred alpha - this is my girlfriend chaeryeong who's a pure-bred omega" she smiled, taking the girl's hand in hers
"lovely! you may sit next to jaemin at the back and we'll get you caught up with our current subject" the girls nodded before manoeuvring around the room to their seats in the back left corner
jaemin pulled jeno into the cafeteria, the pair sitting down in seats across from their friend - lee minhyung, an alpha in the year above
"haven't been put in isolation yet?" the third year gawked, "what's happened to na jaemin?" he laughed, the mentioned rolling his eyes and gesturing to the taller beside him, drifting off on his shoulder
"he's tired - i don't want some dumb fuck having to watch over him if i'm in isolation" he shrugged, taking a bite out of his bagel
"bet you're gonna be in iso by the end of the day" minhyung grinned, slamming a crisp fifty pound note on the table
