a little desk fan blew gentle wisps of air onto renjun's face, his eyes lidded with fatigue as he had woken up in the middle of the night multiple times
jaemin had settled him back down the first time, followed by jeno the following two, and then jaemin again. both taking somewhat of turns to lay their baby back down and rub his tummy with a warm hand, soothing him into a sleep before waking up with him yet again forty minutes later
the elder alpha had smelt a little tone of distress surrounding his omega, recognising it as a sub drop from the previous evening
he watched with soft eyes as renjun took his thumb into his mouth, kissing his forehead ever so gently
his eyebrows furrowed as renjun whimpered, eyes locked on the doorway jaemin had just left through minutes prior and patting his tummy in order to comfort him, kissing the scent gland on his neck
"he's coming back in a moment baby, just talking to your mama because you're going to jilin next week hm?" renjun nodded, cuddling into his boyfriend and pouting slightly as jeno gently pulled his thumb out of his mouth, eyes shining with a little whimper leaving his throat
"talk to me pup- wanna know if you're gonna be alright"
"'m gonna be fine jen- i'll ring you and minnie, just don't wanna make you come with me when minhyungie told me you all have something planned" renjun wriggled about in a little tantrum as jeno sighed, patting his ass with the arm wrapped around his waist
"don't worry about that precious, we always have time through the holidays, and our october term is only a month after school begins again. if you need us to come with you, we're more than happy to darling" jeno reassured the pup, knowing he was struggling with the unbalanced pheromones and getting worked up
renjun just continued to pout, taking the alpha's hand back in his little fingers to return jeno's thumb to his mouth
he stayed quiet from that moment, and jeno concluded it to becoming non-verbal with the lack of jaemin's presence
"hey my loves" jaemin returned holding two bowls, a bottle of water, and a little bottle of medicine "you feeling good baby doll?" the omega shook his head, curled up in jeno's arms with teary eyes
jaemin settled himself on the bed, rubbing his smaller boyfriend's back and humming in his ear, kissing the shell of the warm skin
"baby i know you're unsure of whether you need us to come with you to visit your cousin, just think about it though, okay?" he spoke quietly, heart aching after receiving no response
"i've talked to your mama and she's completely fine with whatever you decide, and she's willing to take us to the airport with you whether we're coming or not" upon still getting silence, he uncurled renjun from jeno's hold to pull the omega onto his lap, holding his chin firmly but not harsh as not to hurt him
"if you're non-verbal darling, you need to use your fingers and you need to tap anywhere on our body as a response. we're trying to work with your separation anxiety, but if you're not responding to anything that's being said nothing can be done to help you baby" he sighed, looping his arms around renjun's waist
"your mama gave me some medicine for you, let alphas take care of you hm?" renjun nodded, nuzzling his nose into jaemin's jaw as an apology and whimpering quietly "you're good, baby, alpha's got you precious" jaemin rubbed his back
"take your medicine and we can cuddle okay?" renjun tapped jaemin's chest, the latter nodding once at jeno
jaem opened the medicine bottle and poured a little in the cap to empty into renjun's open mouth
the omega whined, face scrunched up at the taste of the medicine
"i know, icky isn't it puppy?" he nodded sadly, leaning into his alpha and watching as jaemin linked their fingers together
"have some water precious, your mama made some fruit aswell because you like it mhm?"
"mhm.." renjun complied as he was fed and given a drink with the help of jaemin, shyly kissing his shoulder as a silent 'thank you'
"lay down baby," jeno pressed a chaste kiss to renjun's hand, helping him lay flat on his back "want alpha to take your clothes off?" he nodded, quietly whimpering as his hips were lifted by jaemin and his lounge shorts were pulled off, shirt following
"do you feel better angel face?" jaemin whispered, letting renjun take two of his fingers into his mouth
he praised his baby after renjun nodded "i'm sorry that you're worried about visiting jilin precious.." jeno nodded in agreement, hands laid flat on the puppy's hips
renjun suddenly giggled, gurgling around the fingers in his mouth as he wriggled happily, hands laid beside his head
"hm? is our baby happy all of a sudden?" he nodded, before making grabby hands for jeno and smiling as arms wrapped around his little waist and a head laid on his chest, lips planting kisses all over the area
"yah! zhong chenle get your ass away from my ice-cream!!" renjun flinched, the voice of his brother booming through the halls
"i forgot they were coming here today" jaemin laughed as renjun let his head fall back onto the mattress, eyes on his bedroom door as multiple pairs of footsteps came from down the hall
"go downstairs with him gorgeous, i'm gonna try to get him to scent me" jeno hummed, kissing jaemin's chin and renjun's forehead before raising to his feet and exiting the room
jaemin turned renjun onto his side, pulling his fingers out of the omega's mouth and laying silently with the smaller as he mumbled gentle words to encourage renjun to scent him so he could calm with his pheromones imprinted on his boyfriend
"c'mon baby, we can go see everybody if you scent alpha hm?" renjun whimpered, nose buried into jaemin's neck as he hesitantly opened his mouth to nibble on the gland "good baby" jaemin muttered, fingers tangled in the back of renjun's hair as he continued with the gentle praises
they lay in a peaceful silence for a good five or so minutes, the only sound being the fan that was still rotating, jaemin smiling fondly as his baby shivered and whined before returning to scenting him
"hn? puppy done?" renjun nodded, burying his cheek into his alpha's shoulder
"'m love you alpha.." he whispered, eyes fluttering closed as he drifted off
