jaemin settled renjun down on his bed, hushing the omega as he whimpered quietly
"his mum won't be in for a few days, jisung just texted me," jeno sighed, taking a seat on the mattress and combing his fingers through renjun's soft hair, a little wet with sweat and his scent only increasing in strength the heavier the omega breathed
"how does jaehyun hyung help out taeyong hyung - not sexually?" jaemin thought for a moment
"well, sexual stimulation is the best way to help with heat, but we can't do that to him.." he trailed off "i'd hate myself" jeno hummed in agreement
"let's just take care of him," he smiled kindly, boyfriend nodding before planting a little kiss on renjun's forehead, heart beating quicker as the omega hummed and shuffled up closer, wanting more of the touch
renjun's eyes peeled open, and he stared up at the familiar ceiling of his bedroom, blinking lightly as he just stared
"puppy? are you okay, love?" and he whimpered, omega rising to the surface at the endearing name
"hot- too hot.." he whispered, nose scrunching up in discomfort and kicking the thin sheets off, face flushing a rosy hue as he began crying, shaking his head as jaemin stepped over to him
the alpha nodded, pausing in his tracks
"i'm just going to get you an ice pack puppy, okay? i'm not going to touch you renren, i promise" renjun cried, he wanted jaemin to touch him, to hold him and scent him and fill him and mark him, to be his and nothing more
but everything hurt, too much heat, too much pain - his whole body stung, pinpricks of pain dancing through his body in awful little jumps, his head pounded and he was sure that he'd never feel pain like this again
he didn't even notice jaemin leaving, an ear-splitting wail making the alpha jump as he returned, setting an ice pack wrapped in a towel on the smaller male's forehead carefully
"hey, puppy, breathe for me lovely" renjun only sobbed harder, body trembling and drawing blood from his palm as he dug his nails into the flesh
"just breathe, lovely, take deep breaths and let it out.." jaemin spoke gently, taking the chance to hold renjun's hand in his and pull his fingers away from the wounds
"there we are precious, it's alright now" jaemin whispered, taking a breath before lifting renjun into his arms, earning an almost silent cry in pain "you're safe, you're safe, i promise you baby" he carried renjun downstairs, hushing him as he stepped into the living area and smiling slightly at jeno, who had moved all of the cushions and blankets from the sofas to remove the scent of other people
"hey beautiful," jeno smiled, taking renjun from jaemin and holding him in his arms "would you like to eat something love?" renjun nodded, laying his head on jeno's chest and closing his eyes
"hurts.. everything hurts so bad.."
