hearts align
the once quiet night was spent in tears (happy tears, of course) and renjun would never forgive himself if he didn't say anything in return
so, he whispered a little 'i love you too' as jaemin wiped his tears, hushing him, and fell asleep with a smile on his face
the next day was a day full of the giggly pup attached to their hips, his thin arms wrapped around either on of their torsos as he waddled behind them wherever they went, happily letting jeno cuddle him at lunch and jaemin scent him as they sat in study hall revising for their upcoming biology test the following week
the three made their way to renjun's home, jisung taking a detour half way through to go to chenle's house that resided over the next block
renjun ran up to his bedroom with bouncy steps, tossing his bag on the carpet
he squealed as jeno followed, easily lifting him up and carrying him the rest of the way with jaemin still downstairs
"bub are you sleepy?" renjun nodded, yawning after being settled down on his bed and giggling as jaemin trailed in, holding three water bottles and a bowl of cut-up fruit
"open baby," the omega hummed and smiled as a little piece of apple was put in his mouth, chewing it carefully and staring at the two as they knelt down beside him
"what's wrong?" he asked quietly, laying his head sideways and looking between them with his big, curious eyes - still doe-like even when half-lidded with fatigue
"bubba.. we love you a lot, we can't explain in words, or even actions- and we couldn't wait any longer to ask.. will you be our boyfriend, puppy?" he stays quiet for a moment, before his eyes glossed over and he burst into tears
"baby?" jeno whispered, taking renjun's hand in his and kissing the little streams away
"darling are you okay?" jaemin asked, earning a little nod
"'m love you too.. love you so much" he sobbed, his small body trembling as he sniffled
they stayed like that for a few moments, jaemin's hand on his stomach and jeno rubbing his open palm with his thumb
"yes.. i really want to be your boyfriend- want it so much" he smiled, turning into a giggly mess as they cheered and planted messy kisses all over his face
"we love you so, so much baby"
jiyoung walked in, reilun settled on her hip, and smiled after seeing her son curled up inbetween jeno and jaemin
"honey - huagun is busy for the next few days, so i said i could bring reirei here," she smiled
"gege!!" reilun giggled, making grabby hands for renjun and smiling as jiyoung set her on the teen's lap
"hi baby," he kissed her cheeks "have you been good?" she nodded, hugging him
"missed you gege!"
"i missed you too reirei- how about gege gives you a bath and we watch some movies?" she hummed, laughing as jeno picked her up and stood holding her
"let's go!!" she declared, pointing to the stairs
renjun carried reilun into the kitchen, sitting her on a chair and kneeling on the floor so he could tie up some little boots on her feet, helping the toddler into a puffy baby blue coat before putting gloves on her and kissing her nose
"let's go reirei~" he smiled, lifting her onto his waist
"baby- yuta hyung has called us in," jaemin walked in, pouting in response to renjun's pouty face "you can still take reilun, just come back shortly okay?" the omega nodded, smiling as his forehead was kissed
he and reilun waved the two alphas off as they sped off down the street, renjun holding reilun's hand as they walked down the opposite way to the park. the sky was still light and decorated by soft white clouds, only a small, thin gradient of a gentle yellow rising from the horizon
renjun lead the toddler to the park, smiling as she giggled and begged him to help her on the swings
he sat her in one of the baby ones, as she was only little, and swung her gently
"we can't spend too long here reirei, angel, because we can't stay out when it's dark" she pouted but nodded, squealing as he pushed her a little higher
"gege!" she laughed, watching as her tiny legs dangled in the air briefly before falling back down as the swing flew back
"are you warm enough rei?" she nodded
"yes! renren-gege made sure i'm all warm!" he smiled, kissing the top of her head before lifting her out of the swing and letting her lead him to a little seesaw, the once bright yellow paint was a dull shade, chipped all over the edges and the metal was squeaky whenever it moved, yet it seemed to bring laughter and giggles to the little girl bouncing on the seat, holding tightly onto the handle and cheering whenever she went up
the sky became dark pretty quickly, about half an hour at the park and multiple shades of blue and grey painted the sky above renjun's head
he rang minhyung, knowing his house was only a few minute walk, and picked reilun up as she yawned, patting her bum and letting her head drop onto his shoulder
"hyung? can you walk home with me please- i took mama's boyfriend's daughter to the park but it's gotten dark really quick," he pouted
"of course injunnie- stay there, and i'll be down in a minute"
"thank you hyung"
renjun only waited a minute or two, before the familiar face jogged up to the two omegas
"thank you hyungie, reirei you can go to sleep now" he whispered, kissing reilun's temple before beginning to walk down the pathway with minhyung
"how old is she? she's cute," minhyung gestured to the girl in renjun's arms
"three- she's really good and mama's looking after her for a few days whilst her boyfriend is busy with work"
"give her a heated blanket for bed, it's gonna be cold tonight" the younger nodded
a phone ringing made minhyung pause briefly, pulling out his phone before answering
he listened to the other person speak for a moment, before his eyebrows creased
"i can't come in yet," minhyung speaks into the phone "i'm walking renjun home" he gave the phone to renjun
"hey baby, we're not gonna be over for a day or two - i think jisung is being called in aswell"
"it's alright - i'm gonna be busy with reirei anyways, or at school" renjun smiled, jeno hummed on the other line
"stay safe, love, i'll ring you tomorrow after school, hm?"
"mhm, i love you jen"
"i love you too baby" jeno sighed with hearts in his eyes, jaehyun to his left laughing and shaking his head
'and me!!' jaemin yells from somewhere in the background, earning giggles from renjun
"bye baby, i'll see you soon okay?"
"okay- bye jen"
