Days went by so fast, and it was already Saturday. Kai may go overboard, to the point where she might stigmatize Kael's gender.

However, if there was something that I should be more worried about, I think it was the fact that I was entering my first class now. Particularly Mrs. Yañez's class. The incident that transpired between us last meeting, was an incident that I didn't happen to hear any progress from. Don't know if Attorney Palma played her cards against Mrs. Yañez successfully, or if it was the other way around.

But I guess it was the former, when a familiar old woman entered our room, holding a whiteboard marker and eraser in hand.

"Good morning, Sirs and Mesdames," Attorney Palma mumbled with a smile, as she stood in front of the teacher's desk. "Oh, what's with the wondering look on your faces? Were you not informed by the gossip around the campus?" She laughingly added as she held her chest with her right hand.

"I don't want to sound absurd and obnoxious, but Mrs. Yañez's termination and possible revocation of license is already the talk of the campus, and soonest be the talk of the town. So that being said, I'd temporarily carry the loads of work she had left, until the position she vacated would be filled in with another."

"Ano po'ng nangyari, Attorney?"

"Bakit daw?"

"Wiz ko knows beh, mukha ba 'kong chismakers?"

"Thank God!"

"Buti naman!"

I felt shivers down my spine upon hearing the news from her, felt like crying from being too elated, and mostly, I felt like hugging Attorney Palma. I was too happy to word them out to her, that all I could do was to wait for our class to end and thank her for what she did for me.

"I vowed to help people, Ms. Vasquez. I vowed to represent people like you," were her departing words that deeply ingrained in my mind as she trotted off to her next class when we ended our heart-felt conversation.

I was in deep joy the whole day, more so when I arrived home and saw Kai cooking in my kitchen.
