I woke up with Kael's arm draped on my waist, so I tilted my body to face him and saw him smiling widely at me. My heart thumped in glee like a teenager who saw his favorite artist in person.
How could they do that to someone as precious as Kael? Couldn't understand why his sister would do that to him and why would my brother put up with her insanity.
I've known my brother as someone who passes himself off as a lawyer with an equitable sense of justice, though the truth is he isn't. He never was and never will, 'cause I've proven that myself. But I didn't know he was capable of infidelity, because he almost disowned our mother when he knew about my existence.
While Gab, possessing the palpable qualifications of being Satan's right hand, I think it's possible, but not as possible as committing it with his brother's man. Sa ibang lalaki pwede pa. Napaisip tuloy ako if she's mentally challenged, but I know that isn't sane for me to think of as one with a degree in Psychology. That's a ground for labeling on our part.
"Good morning, baba. Ang aga-aga tulala ka. What were you thinking?" Kael snapped while caressing my cheek, making me snap away from my thoughts as well.
"Good morning, baba," I greeted back with a sweet smile pasted on my lips. "Nothing of the essence, kung ano-ano lang." I'm sure it wouldn't be a good topic for an early morning talk.
Bigla siyang kumalas sa pagkakayap sa akin at naupo sa kama. I did the same and he pulled me to lean on his chest.
"Baba," he called while combing my hair with his hand.
"Hmm?"
"Would it be too much if I'd ask you to resign?"
"Baba, if this is about Cedric I can handle him.
He looked at me for seconds as he tucked my hair behind my ear. "I know you can handle Cedric, ok? But I just can't take the thought of him romancing you behind my back."
"But your father helped me with that job, at wala pa 'kong isang buwan do'n tapos magre-resign kaagad ako?
"Exactly, if it was my father who made it possible for you to be hired in that school, then it's more possible for him to hire you in our own company as a part of the HR or recruitment team."
"But our company's expanding. As of now, a satellite tower is under construction along Alabang. So we're in dire need of employees for the Accounting, Marketing, Sales, and Human Resources Department."
"So hihintayin ko pa 'yang maitayo bago 'ko magkatrabaho? Baba naman, that's not practical."
"Then I'll call Melo if he has any vacant pos—"
"Who's Melo?"
"Is that my fianceé being jealous?"
"Ene be," pag-iinarte ko kunwari.
