The fact that he apologized to me made me think that he wasn't as stone hearted as I thought he was, so I managed to forgive him right after that.
I realized that he knows how to acknowledge his mistakes, though it took him quite some time to settle things out with me. But it doesn't matter anymore, what matters is that I'd be able to do my job without any hindrances starting today.
"What's for breakfast?" bungad niya nang makarating siya sa dining area.
I pasted a sweet smile on my lips and lifted my shorts high, revealing my thigh as I mumbled, "Me."
He turned to look at my direction with a gruesome look and traveled his gaze from my head down to my legs.
"Pathetic," he uttered, as if spitting a poison off his mouth.
I just laughed.
"Here's our breakfast." Inilapag ko ang sinigang sa lamesa.
"Sinigang?" He pointed his finger at our viand.
"Yesh," I uttered sweetly. "Did you change your mind and you want to eat me instead?" kinikilig na sabi ko at kiniliti ko pa siya sa tagiliran.
"I'd rather choose to starve to death." He rolled his eyes at me and started to eat. It was too obvious that he was trying to contain his laughter since the dimples on his cheeks were very visible.
I broke the silence minutes after.
"Don't you find me pretty?" I leaned closer to him and flirtatiously blinked my eyes for numerous times.
He arched his brow and smirked. "What's the basis of your question? I think you, being pretty, is a groundless matter."
"Not that I'm speaking highly of my ravishing beauty, but Justin Bieber courted me and even serenaded me way back in highschool," pagsisinungaling ko.
He leaned closer to me. "What song did he sing for you? Love yourself?" he asked, pasting an annoying grin.
I slammed my fist on the table, causing his coffee to splatter.
He chuckled. "Who else hit on you, Shimon?" he asked, but I dismissed the urge to battle with him.
"Ano'ng gusto mong ulamin mamayang dinner?" pag-iiba ko ng usapan. "Para alam ko na lulutuin ko pagkauwi ko mamaya from my MA classes." Tinusok ko nang pagkalakas-lakas ang karneng nasa plato ko.
He gave me a sweet smile which bewildered the hell out of me. Not even once have I seen him smile that way.
"Soup No. 5," he suggested.
That justifies the smile. He probably thought that I'd be shaken for the second time.
"Bakit kailangan mo pa ng Soup No. 5?" I crossed my arms over my chest and smirked as well.
"What do you mean by bakit kailangan ko pa no'n?" pagtataka niya.
"That soup is considered an aphrodisiac as it gives a warm feeling after eating."
"So?"
"Aphrodisiac is an agent that arouses sexual desires."
"And?"
"I doubt that you still need that, when my immense beauty is more than enough to buy you an arousal," I confidently stated.
