Chapter 4: Swamp Warfare

"No more arguments, Ahsoka," Anakin replied firmly. "You will accompany the Avatar and his friends on the next stage of their journey and will respect Master Luminara's instructions. After Obi-Wan and I are done with the Council's assignment for us at the Southern Air Temple, we will come back."

"Very well, Master," Ahsoka said with a bow. "Good luck to you and Master Kenobi on your journey."

Turning on her heel, Ahsoka ran back over to where Aang, Katara and Sokka had staged Appa on the Venator and relayed the news she would be with them on the next stage of their journey. Thankfully, they were happy to have her along.

"That's great!" Katara replied. "I'd like to go over more of those concentration techniques for my waterbending if we have time."

"I'm sure we will," Ahsoka said. "We'll be with the 41st Legion for the next few weeks after all."

"Is there anyone who will be able to help me train to fight against a Sith like your Master did?" Aang asked eagerly.

"That depends on what Master Luminara says," Ahsoka answered. "Hopefully she'll agree to that. Congratulations on your award by the way, Sokka!" Ahsoka congratulated, pointing to the hexagon-shaped maroon and black Republic Valiance Award on his chest.

"Thank you!" Sokka grinned proudly. "I didn't get it for nothing you know."

Katara rolled her eyes as Aang clapped Sokka on the back. Sokka wasn't lying after all; Commander Cody himself had called a formation and pinned the medal on Sokka's and Corporal Lawrence's chest just three days ago. Under Tyro's recommendation, as well as his gratitude for their repeating blaster fire saving him and Haru's life, Commander Cody had requested the two soldiers be awarded the medal to Obi-Wan Kenobi who happily agreed. Now Sokka wore it proudly and a couple times had spaced off admiring it when Aang and Katara were trying to ask him for help.

As the four of them stood there talking about their recent adventures, Master Luminara made here way over to the group with Commander Gree by her side. Ahsoka caught her approach out of the corner of her eye and called for the four of them to bow. Luminara bowed in return to put them at ease and introduced herself.

"Good afternoon, Avatar Aang," Luminara began. "I am Jedi Master Luminara Unduli, and this is my Commander, Commander Gree."

"Pleasure to meet you, Avatar Aang and Katara," Commander Gree nodded. "And you, Sokka. I heard about your bravery in battle from Commander Cody. Congratulations to you, soldier. Most troopers do not receive that award from their first battle."

"Thank you, Commander," Sokka replied gratefully, straightening his shoulders and putting his hands behind his back as he spoke. "I promise I will do my best to keep up my performance and not let my fellow troopers down."

Commander Gree smiled under his helmet.

"There's hope for you yet, Sokka," he promised sincerely.

"A pleasure to meet you as well, Master Luminara and Commander Gree," Katara replied. "Thank you for agreeing to take us on the next stage of our journey."

"Will there be any time for us to maybe do some dueling practice?" Aang inquired to Luminara. "Master Skywalker gave me some tips on how to use my airbending against a Sith and I'd like to build upon that training."

"We may have time for that, young Avatar," Luminara answered. "However, we first must concentrate on your more important objective. Master Kenobi told me you seek an Earthbending teacher, correct?"
