We arrived at The Three Broomsticks and sat down at one of the tables.

"Hi, we'll get two butterbeers." I said.

"And I'll get an apple cider with a shot of rum, please." Cedric explained.

"And I'll get an apple cider with two shots of rum!" Draco smirked. Cedric raised an eyebrow.

"What are you looking at, Diggory?" Draco snapped. Cedric turned to him.

"Nothing, I just don't think you can handle two shots." Cedric replied, shrugging.

"Oh yeah? Make that three shots of rum!" Draco called, as the waiter walked away. He nodded and Draco smiled smugly.

"Boys..." I said.

"It's fine, this'll be fun." Jenn whispered into my ear. About five minutes later, the waiter came back with the four drinks.

"Thank you!" Jenn smiled, taking a sip of her butterbeer. I did the same. Then, under a minute, Cedric had downed his apple cider.

"So it's a competition now, Diggory?" Draco asked, guzzling his drink. Cedric nodded, twirling his finger to the waiter, asking for more drinks.

I facepalmed myself in embarrassment of the boys being so loud. The waiter brought six more drinks to our table and I scoffed. Cedric and Draco were chugging drinks trying to one-up each other for almost an hour, while Jenn and I were still on our first butterbeer.

"One more round! I promise!" Draco shouted, without realizing how loud he was.

Shit.

"Shh! Draco, everyone's looking!" Jenn whispered, putting her finger on his bubbly lips.

"I bet you ten galleons that you can't finish these two drinks in under twenty seconds!" Cedric roared.

"Oh my god. This is humiliating." I whispered to Jenn.

"Oh, come on, y/n, you know it's funny. And I know you're having a good time." Jenn replied, playfully punching my shoulder.

"Fine, this may be a little bit entertaining." I confessed, laughing.

By the end of the night, Draco and Cedric were definitely drunk, so Jenn and I decided to take them home.

Before walking out the door, Draco turned around and threw up.

"Hey!" The manager called from behind the counter.

"Sorry!" Jenn said. "We'll clean it up!"

"Oh, Draco." Jenn groaned, walking to him. "We'll meet you back at the castle. I'm gonna give Draco a couple minutes."

I nodded and opened the door. It was lightly snowing, which was rare for October. It had been a while of walking and Cedric stuck out his tongue to catch snowflakes.

"What on earth are you doing?" I chuckled.

"Catching snowflakes. It's fun! You should try, y/n." He giggled, and then burped. I could smell the rum from where I was standing.

"You're so drunk." I replied, smiling. "Before I stick out my tongue, I want you to have some sips of this water. And for your own good, a mint, because... you know." I took a water bottle out of my little purse. Cedric slowly gulped the water and popped the mint in his mouth.

"Thanks, y/n. Feeling better already." He smiled and put his arm around me. Butterflies erupted in my stomach. I finally stuck out my tongue and caught some snowflakes. I laughed and played around with Cedric for a little bit. Finally, we continued to walk and Cedric looked at me.

"Oh, you've got a snowflake on your eyelash." He whispered, delicately trying to get it. He lifted his finger up to my eye and I closed it so he could get the snowflake.

"Got it." Cedric said. I smiled. He tried to show me, but to his disappointment, it was gone. "Oh, it melted."

"Yeah, Cedric, that's kind of what happens when snow touches something hot." I laughed.

"You think I'm hot?" Cedric smirked.

"Y-you know that's not what I meant. I mean- you are, you're like- hot and cute and handsome at the same time, so obviously, but-"

Cedric secured his lips on mine and held it for about five seconds. He pulled away and smiled. I bit my lip for a moment and pulled his body back to mine, connecting lips again. He moved his hand onto my waist and the other on the back of my neck. I wrapped my arms around his back and in his hair. Cedric's touch was weakening, and it felt as though gravity vanished.

Holy shit. That was awesome.

"Well, good thing I gave you that mint because I would have pulled away." I laughed.

"Thank Merlin for that." Cedric replied, embracing me.

Cedric met me back in the common room to say goodnight. He kissed me briefly before waving and making his way into the boy's dormitories.

I walked into the dorm and saw Jenn and Olivia waiting for me. I hadn't even noticed the crooked smile fixed on my face.

"What's going on with you?" Olivia asked, grinning.

"Hm?" I said, still half zoned out.

"Why do you look like that?" Olivia asked, again.

"Like what?" I replied.

"Like you've just seen a ghost, but a really attractive one." Jenn answered, laughing.

"Cedric and I may or may not have had our first kiss." I finally snapped out of my utopia.

"Oh my gosh! No way! I'm so happy for you!" Jenn clapped.

"Aw, thank you. But we're way past curfew and I'm really tired. So I'm going to go to bed. We'll talk about this tomorrow." I said.

I drifted off to sleep thinking about my kiss with Cedric and how it was way better than the one I'd dreamed about on the first night.
