"Dragons, dragons, dragons," I whispered to myself as I searched through the dusty shelves in the library. It was study hall, which I never actually used to study, and Cedric, Jenn, Steve and I were searching high and low for books on dragons.
"Ah ha! Found one!" I shouted, as I pulled a worn book out of the dark oak shelf.
"Shh!" Madam Pince threw her pointer finger up to her mouth and scowled.
"Sorry!" I whispered. I turned back to my group of friends and they gathered around the book. I opened up the pages and ran my fingers over the chapters.
"History... behaviors... early life... breeds!" I exclaimed.
"Well?" Jenn asked.
"There are many different types of dragons known to witches and wizards. Some being, the Romanian Longhorn, the Norwegian Ridgeback, the Hungarian Horntail, the Common Welch Green, the Chinese Fireball, the Swedish Short-Snout, the Ukrainian Ironbelly, and more..." I read all in one breath. I exhaled and threw my head back.
"Well, how are we supposed to know which one Cedric is fighting?" Jenn asked.
"That's the thing, we don't know." Steve sighed.
"I guess we'll just have to look at all of them and then you'll be prepared for anything." I shrugged.
"I guess so. Let's start with the Romanian Longhorn. What does it say for that one?" Cedric asked.
"Romanian Longhorn. A large, and bulky dragon with dark green scales and two golden horns..." My eyes widened. "and it says that the dragon likes to rip apart its prey with the horns before roasting it with it's fiery breath." Cedric pushed his hands through his hair.
"What about the Norwegian Ridgeback?" He asked. I quickly looked through the description and sighed.
"Venomous fangs that can kill." I stated. Cedric shook his head.
"Of course they can kill. Of course they can kill. Alright, anything else?" He asked.
"Not much. Let's look at the Swedish Short-Snout. It sounds less... scary." I replied. Cedric turned the page and sighed.
"Definitely doesn't look less scary. Here, I'll read this one." Cedric said, turning the book towards himself. "Says here, that the Swedish Short-Snout is a silvery blue colored dragon and has a powerful blue flame that can give permanent damage to human skin, if projected on it long enough. Causes second degree burns, and it's long, untouched nails can impale skin easily." I bit my lip.
"Okay, we'll look over the others later. Let's focus on some spells. It's not like you could use something like Expelliarmus or Confundus on a dragon. We'll have to find something else. Wait, I've got it. Cedric can you transfigure well enough yet?" I asked. Cedric slowly nodded. "What if you transfigure something that'll confuse the dragon, distract it, and retrieve whatever you need to get? Assuming, you have to retrieve something. It's not like they'll have you kill it."
"That's a good idea. Steve and I will go out onto the Quidditch Pitch at midnight to practice." Cedric explained. Steve nodded.

I was in my dorm with Jenn and Olivia getting ready for bed when I came up with an idea.
"Hey, guys, what if we sneak out to the Quidditch Pitch and go flying?" I grinned.
"Oh! That sounds fun. Let's go." Jenn exclaimed.
"I still have the Marauder's Map from Fred and George. We'll use that to leave the castle, and be back before twelve." I exclaimed. We all exchanged looks and grinned at each other.
