Images and flashes of the previous night appeared in my mind making me smile to myself. The outside world of the Great Hall faded into background noise as I watched the scene instead of paying attention to whatever it was that my friends had to say.

"Y/n? Helllloo? I asked you if you were feeling okay." Someone chuckled.

Suddenly, the clattering of cutlery and low buzz of voices became loud again, and my daydream shrunk into thin air. Cedric was staring at me, wide-eyed, anticipating an answer.

"Oh, um- good, great. Great." I smiled, looking at him with a cheeky expression.

"What were you thinking about?" Steve asked, before taking a big bite of avocado toast on which he put an egg (sunny-side up) that was about to fall off and land on his lap. I shook my head as the beautiful breakfast collapsed onto his trousers before answering him. He groaned and grabbed a serviette to clean the mess.

"Just... how pretty the stars are," I looked over to Cedric. "and how wonderful it is that we have the Astronomy Tower to look at them whenever we want. Really take in the feeling of... the huge galaxy above us."

Cedric's cheeks were becoming a dark shade of pink, and looked down, cutting up his waffles on his plate so no one could see. Steve raised a brow, then squinted his eyes at me.

"Alright..." He said, wiping his mouth with the same one he used to clean his trousers. "Look, I'll see you both in class; I've got to change into new robes and everything." With a grunt, he stood up and headed out of the Hall towards the dormitories.

"Real smooth, y/n, real smooth." Cedric whispered to me.

"What? You asked me what I was thinking about, I wasn't just gonna embarrass myself like that!" I chuckled.

"You could've lied, you know." He replied.

"Oh. Yes, I suppose I could've." I shrugged. "Well, what's done is done." I let out a big yawn, dropping my fork beside me. "Come on, we should head to class now. What've you got again?"

"Erm..." Cedric quickly pulled out a piece of parchment from the interior of his cloak, and scanned it. "Monday..." His finger dragged down it. "Muggle Studies."

"Oh, fantastic, me too! I didn't know you were taking that class." I replied, happily.

"Well, I thought, it's only for the first semester, and muggle living is quite interesting, as well. Why do you take it?"

"Well, I live in the muggle world, whether my Mum or John are both pure-bloods or not. We like to live like muggles anyway. Of course, we still use magic, but less often- I guess, besides John. Anyway, since I know so much about it, I knew I'd do really well, and I could use an easy course for this year. You know, with the N.E.W.T.s coming up."

"Right, N.E.W.Ts." Cedric groaned as we walked down the Great Hall and to the Muggle Studies classroom. Neither Olivia nor Steve took the class. It was only Jenn, Cedric and I.

"Good morning, everyone. I'm so glad to see that some of you have continued to take this class all through your years." Professor Burbage said, smiling over at the seventh years. "Today, we're going to start off with something real simple. All I'm going to do is test how much you already know about Muggles. So, as soon as the parchment lands on your desk (they were already being distributed through the air using magic), you may begin."

I looked down the first question. Oh, easy! I thought.

1. Do muggles use a) London Underground, b) the telephone, c) the telescope, or d) the computer to verbally contact other people who are in a location different than them?
