"You- you what, Steven?"

"Y/n, please don't react like this. It's not like I can help it. Believe me, I tried. I tried to stop." Steve sighed, plopping himself down on his bed. I shook my head, trying to comprehend his words.

"You can't like her, Steve, she's," I paused for a moment. "taken." Steve bit his lip again.

"I- I know. And I really wish I didn't feel like this, but I do and I can't turn it off. This stupid crush just won't go away." He sighed, putting his hands to his cheeks.

"I mean I don't blame you. She's great." I chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. Steve half smiled back.

"What do I do? I mean, I know she's with Malfoy... and I know this sounds bad, okay? I- I want her. I want her to be mine. I want her to break up with Draco and be mine."

"But, Steve, she-" I stopped. I wasn't going to tell Steve that she loved him. Like that would make the situation any better. "O-okay. What are you thinking?"

"I'm thinking I hate that asshole for getting her before I did!" He shouted. I sighed.

"I don't know what you want me to say, Steve. There's really nothing I can do. I really wish there was, though. You two would look good together. You're both very charismatic." I smiled.

"You think? Do you think there's any chance of her liking me too?"

"I mean, I definitely see chemistry." I said. It wasn't a lie. They definitely do have chemistry. Steve smiled, more relieved. "Okay, now no one ever tell anyone I said this... but Steve, if you want her to like you... maybe flirt with her a little? Be, you know, touchy, and charming. But, still be your real self. She likes the real you."

"Yeah. Yeah, that could work." Steve said nodding his head. "But, for now we need to go to dinner. It's probably started already."

"Right. Let's go." I said. Cedric and Steve followed me out of the dorm, and we rushed down to the Great Hall in hopes we weren't late. And we weren't in luck.

"Y/n/n, Steve, Ced, where've you been?"

"Uh, just in the dorm. My dorm." Cedric said, sitting down beside me.

"Oh, whatcha been up to? A threesome?" Jenn chuckled.

"No, ew. No offence, Steve." I grimaced. Steve scoffed, smiled.

"None taken." He turned to Jenn and gulped. He looked back at me and furrowed his brows in hopes for help. I shrugged. I mouthed 'hair' to him and pointed to my head.

"Jenn, you- you have a... fluffball in your hair." He said. He brought his right hand up to her hair and pretended to pick something out of it. He flicked the invisible fluff on the ground and looked at her.

"Oh, thanks." Jenn replied. When Jenn wasn't looking I turned to Steve and whisper-shouted.

"Fluffball?!" Steve awkwardly shrugged.

The meal ended and I pulled Steve into an empty corridor. "So, he can flirt with anyone, except the girl he actually likes?" I exclaimed.

"Guess so. I don't know what happened. I'm usually so... well, not that." He sighed.

"It's fine, you're Steven Harper. The charmer. You can do this." I said, holding his right shoulder. "Okay, I gotta go back to the common room talk to Jenn." I winked.

"Alright, see you." Steve said, as I turned down the hallway. Steve continued down the hallway, probably heading to the quidditch field for practice. That's where Cedric told me he'd be tonight.
