Chapter 56:Wild World

Nightmare's POV a week or two later

I start waking up, yet feel something strange. There is something soft curling up beside me.I try to move but someone grips me tighter. I hear a low growl at my attempt. My eyes pop open and I see a fox holding me close. I feel one of the paws playing with my tail while the other grips my ear. I tear myself away and run out of the room.

"WHO THE HECK PUT CRITTERS ON THE RAFT?!"I shout

"SCIENCE HAD ME GATHER SOME FOR EXPERIMENTS!"Palette responds

"WHY DID YOU COMPLY?"I ask

I run to Dream quickly. With him was Palette. I am now shorter than PALETTE because nobody has found a way to turn me to normal and the bunny genetics are taking over.

"What's wrong?"They ask

"I dunno, I woke up with a fox in bed with me and growling! Someone could've warned me that a bunny predator was on the loose! I would've locked the door!"I say

"What are you talking about?"Palette asks

Dream goes to find Cross, who had also gathered animals. Palette follows him. I run through the halls, then hide in a closet. I hear footsteps coming closer. I see a nose peek under the door, sniffing. I hear a growl. The handle jiggles but couldn't be opened. These doors were supposed to be for a room but were put on for a closet, backwards as well. I locked the doors. I was safe for the time being. I start crawling around in the closet. This was the kind that connected into another room. That's my escape route.

"Nighty.~"A voice calls

I glance over to the doors. Some of the light was blocked, meaning someone is there.

"Kills?"I answer

"Nighty, please come out. I don't understand why you locked yourself in there."He says

Where was he?

"No! There's a fox on the loose! I'm safer here!"I say

"Hmmm....Okay, I will come back soon.~"He says

His tone said that he had an idea. I see the shadow leave. He's probably gone. I keep going to the other room's door and lock it just in case. Almost instantly after I do that, the door starts shaking like something is trying to break in. I could hear something scratching at it. I see fox paws claw under the door and growling heard. It scared me half to death. Definitely not a start to a morning I want. I haven't even eaten yet! I can't teleport, transform, use my tentacles or really summon anything like this! I let out a loud scream as the door starts to bend like a rubber band, trying to keep the fox out as the growls grow louder.  I hop up to the top shelves of the closet in case the door does give way to the fox, curling up there and whimpering in fear. WHAT THE HELL SCIENCE?! OF ALL ANIMALS! WHY A FOX?!

"YOU LEAVE NIGHTMARE ALONE YOU WILD DOG!"I hear Cross shout

(Fun fact:Foxes are part of the dog family.)

I hear the growling lessen.

I still whimper in fear.

"Step away from the door or I will make you. I don't know how Science let you loose, but I'm putting you back in that cage or on that island!"Cross snaps

I hear a blade hit the door.

"Woah woah woah! Chill! It's just me, Cross!"Killer says

"What the hell, dude?"Cross says

"What? I just woke up like this!"Killer says

"1:What the FUNK did Science do now-"Cross begins

"I DIDN'T DO FECES! He probably got into chemicals by mistake again! I made sure to label all my vials and I happen to be missing a container for an orange one!"Science shouts
