-two weeks later-

Ellie woke up from her sleep to that sound.
"Annie!..."
"Mom..." she said in pain.
"Yeah, I'm here, you're okay."
"The funeral..."
"We'll talk about it later."
"I missed it?"
"Yeah... Sorry"
"Rule 6..."
"Yeah... Let me call your dad."
"Johnny?"
"I'll call him too." she said as she left and a nurse came in.
"Thanks..."

"Nick? She just woke up, yeah. Yeah a nurse is checking her up. I love you."
"Johnny, yeah she woke up. In an hour? Like this her dad can see her. Yeah. See ya."

"Your dad is coming right now and Johnny'll come in an hour or so baby."
"Kay.. Thanks..."
"Your daughter is okay, she'll need rest but she did good."
"Can I have water?"
"Yeah of course. Let me bring that to you."
"Annie! Oh my God Annie! I love you baby, I love you so freaking much."
"I love you too dad, I'm okay now..."
"I love you..." he whispered again.
They talked for an hour until Johnny came in.
"Hey Kiddo."
"Hey Johnny."
"Where are your parents?"
"Cafeteria, my mom was hungry."
"Ellie's always hungry."
"Not always, I heard her declining food when I was out."
"You heard?"
"Everything. But don't tell my parents, they said things I shouldn't have heard."
"Ooo."
"Yup."
"Anyway, I've been wanting to do that-" he kissed her "since- forever actually."
"You did it before I fell deep asleep dummy."
"I know but still." he said kissing her again.
"I'm going home in two days."
