TW HUGE PANICK ATTACK

-a few months later-

This was Finn's birthday.
Let's say it didn't go like the previous years.
"Hi babe, where's An?" Nick asked kissing Ellie.
"Hi. Uhm- it's February 1st Nick."
"Yeah and? - Crap! Finn's birthday!"
"Yeah... Annie didn't come out of her room yet."
"How do you think it'll go?"
"Bad. She doesn't have school today, maybe we could bring her to the Navy Yard with us."
"Johnny can't see her today?"
"No, he's not in D.C. for two more weeks."
"Oh yeah right well, ask Gibbs if we can bring her and I'm gonna go check on her."
"Yeah, okay."

"Hey An?! You awake."
"Yeah..." she said sleepy.
"Holà sleeping beauty, how are you doing?" he asked sitting next to his daughter and rubbing her back.
"I'm okay. How are you?"
"I'm fine. Your mom is on the phone with Gibbs to see if you can come with us at the Navy Yard today."
"Okay, cool." she said falling back to sleep.
"You sure you okay?" Nick asked worried.
"Yeah I just didn't sleep well."
"Okay."
"Hi baby, you can come today."
"Okay, Imma get ready."
"Okay." said both her parents.

They got to the Navy Yard but Annie wasn't as excited as usual.
"Hey An! What are you doing here?" asked McGee.
"Those two" she said pointing at her parents "think I'm gonna let myself go if I stay alone today."
"Uh? Okay?"
"It's Finn's birthday." she said getting upstairs to Jack's office.
"Ooo how is she so far?"
"Quiet." Ellie respond.
"Ahhhh! Urgh! Ew!" yelled Annie running down stairs.
"Annie?"
"I just saw Gibbs and Jack do things I didn't want to see!"
"Head out of the gutter agents!" shouted Gibbs coming running.
"What were you two doing?"
"Kissing, that's it."
"You didn't knock An." said Jack.
"No I didn't but I sent you a text and you replied with thumbs up!"
"No I did not!"
"You must have done it with your butt while you were busy making out with Gibbs." said Annie.
"Oh, get over it An." said her mom.
"Yeah yeah okay. But I don't want anyone to judge Johnny and I next time-"
Annie froze.
"Annie?" Asked her dad worried.
"Annie baby?"
She started to look around like she was lost.
"Anniela?"
*gasp*
"Panic attack." stated Jack.
"Crap."
They all tried to calm her down but nothing worked.
"Finn- Need Finn!" Annie gasped.
"Annie, he's not here anymore." said Jack softly.
"Dad- Dad- please- help."
"I'm right here An, you can calm down."
"Please..." she cried.
"I'm here baby. I'm right here."
"Dad... Finn..."
"You're safe baby, Finn's looking after you." said Nick softly hugging his daughter.
"Dad..."
"Yeah, I'm not going anywhere."
Annie didn't really hug anyone since Finn's death, it was only hugs for her to calm down and she was in need of her best friend's hug. And her dad was the closest thing to her best friend.
"Dad..." she said still gasping for air.
"I got you baby, I got you."
After a while Annie calm down and her dad dad didn't let go.
"I'm sorry..."
"Don't be sorry Annie, I love you."
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry.."
"Hey, hey, hey, you don't have to be sorry for anything."
"I'm sorry..." Annie said one last time before starting to cry again and snuggled up deeper into her dad's embrace.
"It's okay Annie, it's okay." he whispered in her ear. "I love you."
Annie kept crying for what seems hours and  when she stopped, she was exhausted. Thankfully, they didn't have a case and Nick could stay with Annie all day.
After a few hours Nick talked again.
"Hey An?"
"No- don't break it."
"What?"
"The calm."
"Okay, we'll talk later."
"I love you."
"I love you too."
