Sam wasn't kidding when he said we would be using Skype so much that we would break the site. We tried to call each other about two or three times a week, filling each other in on everything missed. Most of the time, my stories weren't nearly as exciting as his. He told me all about Kurt's attack, Artie's diagnosis, Rachel's opening night, and Mercedes' impending artist career. One thing I was excited to see when we Skyped was his ponytail chopped off. He told me he was disappointed about it, to which I acted like I agreed. But now, he felt with his haircut, he could revolutionize the city. I just thought it made him look even more handsome.

I had already started my classes. They were going pretty well, but that's probably because we've barely even gotten into the difficult stuff. But I guess I need to enjoy it while I can.

The rest of school was insane though. It seemed like every other week, my roommate, Delilah, was bringing in a new boy, announcing he was her boyfriend. I still got along pretty well with her, although she would get mad from time to time if I mixed up a boy's name. I had already made friends with a good group of people. Most of them were from out of the area, like me, so we bonded over getting lost around the city together.

But I did miss Lima, which was something I never thought I'd say. I missed seeing my family every day. I missed waving to my friends in the hallway, occasionally stopping for a conversation. I missed being in Glee Club.

That night, I had scheduled a phone call with my mom to catch her up on everything that had happened the past few weeks. Although I never thought it was the most interesting, she acted as if it was. "So, I'm just trying to get some homework done, and then I'll probably head down to the dining hall with Delilah to get some dinner."

"That sounds great honey. So, how are you doing?"

"I'm alright. It's kind of strange being in a whole different town considering that I've lived in Lima my whole life. And I miss everyone, especially Sam. But I'm getting through it, and I've found a new group of friends to complain with."

"Well, that sounds slightly sad, but also good? Anyways, I wanted to talk to you because I think you mentioned that you've got a bit of a long weekend coming up."

"Yeah, my professor cancelled class on Tuesday, and I don't have classes on Monday. Why?"

"Well, I'm meeting with some possible investors over the weekend, and their offices are in New York. So I was thinking that I could possibly drive up to you, and we could go there together!"

"Are you serious?! You would really drive up here to go with me?"

"Of course! Besides, any extra time away from this household of testosterone is a dream come true."

"I mean, I guess so? Yeah! Let's go!" There were a million thoughts running through my head.

"Great! So, I'll book the tickets and everything. Do you think you could stay at one of your friends' places?"

"Totally. One of them is bound to have an open couch."

"Awesome. So I'll get that all sorted out, and send you all the information. I need to be in the city by Saturday, so we'll leave Friday afternoon."

"Great! I'll see you then Mom!"

"See you then sweetie! Love you!" I hung up the phone, trying to process what I just agreed to. I was going to see everyone in less than forty-eight hours. I was going to see Sam again, in person and not just through a screen. I threw my head back on my pillow, and grabbed the other one closest to me, bringing it up to my mouth. Squealing, I tried to start imagining what everyone's faces are going to look like when I show up. I bet they'll all be so excited and surprised. But what if they weren't? What if they had mediocre reactions, and all secretly hated me?
