~ Artemisia's POV ~

I broke the news to the boys that we would be moving to a new home yesterday. Where? I have no idea. They immediately broke out into cheers, excited to be around people again. We had packed all our things and sold the rest to some travelers and headed on our way. I decided on taking them west, hoping to find some safe civilization out there for us to live in.

We trekked for three days, stopping to set up camp at night to sleep and multiple rests along the way for the boys. On the fourth morning they were getting restless.

I shook their shoulders once the sun broke the horizon, gaining immediate retaliation.

"Temi, it's been so long. There's nothing out here! When are we going to go home." Tubbo said as he slowly sat up. I looked to the ground defeated.

"I know Tubbo, but we need to keep moving. The longer we stay out here, the more dangerous it is. We will find home soon. I promise, okay?" I pleded with him. He looked at me for a long moment before nodding his head and standing up along with Tommy. We gathered all of our belongings and set foot on our path once again. It was nearing nightfall once again and I was ready to set up camp until I noticed lights in the distance.

I could see large beams of bright lights shining above the trees, lots of it too. I grabbed the boys shoulders and pointed towards where I was looking. Smiles broke out onto their faces, the first i've seen in two days.

"Finally!" Tommy cheered. This time, I laughed along with them. We kept walking until we neared the large walls where the lights were coming from. I noticed more in the distance as well, not too far away. Before we approached the gates, I grabbed my brothers and turned them towards me, bending down so we were at eye level.

"Now you two listen to me." I looked them boyne in the eyes making sure I had their full attention. "You will stick by me, no running off-" I was cut off by the oldest.

"Keep your eyes open, never walk away with strangers, and never go to far away from home. Yes, Temi, we know already. Can we go now?"

I took a deep breath looking up at the gates once again. The black and yellow walls loomed high above the trees. I looked back at them and nodded. I stood back up straight and grabbed one of their hands each and we made our way up to the gates.

"Protect those you love with your life."

My fathers voice echoed in my head as it always does.

Two guards at the gate turned their attention towards us and opened the gate allowing us passage into the unfamiliar lands. What stood before us was nothing of what I was expecting.

Large buildings were sporadically placed, some higher up than others. Shops and bakery's were lined up all around us. Lanterns hung from thin wires in between the buildings, making them seem as though they were floating. I noticed people walking around, children running and laughing. Tubbo and Tommy smiled up at me seeing other kids.

"Hello! Welcome to L'manburg!" a cheery voice exclaimed from my right. I flipped my attention to the man and my grip grew tighter on my boys hands. I offered him a small smile.

"My name is Fundy, what brings you here tonight?" He questioned.

"We'd like to stay here." I stated.

"Of course, for how long?" he gave me another smile.

I took another glance around the place that they called L'manburg. It was beautiful, almost ethereal. I took one more deep breath before turning back to Fundy.

"Forever."
