~ Artemisia's POV ~

I stood in the wide open training area Eldon had beneath a mountain next to his home. I drew in ragged breaths. Sweat dripped from my hair. Small cuts and burns littered my body. Training wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be.

I've been training with Eldon for two weeks. Each day proved to be more difficult than the one before, but they were all the same; wake up, train, eat, sleep. I was growing restless, but I was gaining power like crazy.

Eldon taught me many new things. Control was the main factor. Without control, things would get messy. The first few days were, and I almost burned down the entire mountain. I learned to control my rage since then, and things were much more smooth.
I still didn't understand why it had to be me who kills Dream.

"Today, I will train you to use your powers along with your sword." He pulled my fathers sword from the shelf and handed it to me. I grasped onto it but something was different. I looked down to the metal end. It, glowed? A red hue illuminated from the sword. I turned it over in my hands admiring it.

"Your fathers sword was made for you. From a young age, he knew you would be the one to bring complete peace back to the world. But in order to do that, you would need to defeat a great tyrant." He took slow steps around me keeping his gaze forward.

"To kill the great tyrant, you would need to use every bit of your power. The sword was made to do just that. When it is in your hands, the sword will glow, representing the power in you. That is why it much be you who kills Dream. You are the only one who is able to wield the sword powerful enough to kill him." He took a breath before continuing.

"The sword must be driven through his heart. This time, you need to let your emotions loose. Let rage take over, and your power will do the rest."

I stared down at the sword. My father told me I would help the world. I didn't know he would be with me along the way. The ghost of a smile lay on my lips. I looked back up to Eldon.

"Then let's train."

~ Techno's POV ~

Today marked three weeks since Temi ran off. I looked to the boys who sat on the couch somberly, awaiting their sisters return. They missed her, and I did too. I didn't know how much longer she would be gone for, or even if she made it to her destination. She could be dead for all I know. That thought made my heart drop.

I shook the thought from my head. No. She's okay. She will come back soon. I turned to look back at the boys. I walked over to them and crouched down in front of their faces, desperate to make them feel better.

"How about we go take a trip to the river?" Their gazed snapped to mine, and smiles broke out onto their faces. They ran off upstairs to change. I stood back up and let out the breath I was holding. The boys came back downstairs, ready to go swim. They walked a small distance ahead of me on the way.

The gorgeous brunette kept my thoughts busy the whole walk. The way her eyes squinted as she laughed. How she always knew what to say to the two boys. When her hair would fall messy in front of her face in the midday wind. I missed everything about her.

Please come back home to me.

~ Artemisia's POV ~

I swung my sword at the stack of hay bales in front of me. They were my source of training. I shoved my sword through one of the bales and dropped my head down. I was exhausted.

"Let out that rage I know you have." Eldon commanded from behind me. "Give it everything you got."

I didn't know if I could give anymore than I already have. It's been more than another week, marking twenty-nine days since I left my three boys behind. Three.

I swung at the bales again.

"More."

For my dad.

"More."

For L'manburg.

"Let loose!"

For my boys.

"More!"

For Techno, my new home.

I plunged the sword into the bales with a loud scream. Fire blew out from the sides of the blade. A bright red light encased my surroundings. The ground shook, almost like an earthquake was hitting. Bits of stone fell from the ceiling all around me.

I knelt to the ground, my sword falling with me as the hay bales were now blown to pieces. I breathed hard, each breath filling my lungs and immediately leaving. My body ached and bled. I was soaking wet with sweat and tears. I collapsed completely to the ground, defeated.

After a few moments, I finally looked around at the state the training room was now in. Boxes were thrown everywhere. The glass windows that looked out to the outside of the mountain were shattered. The ceiling was crumbling and small stones continued to fall to the floor. Worry etched across my face. I felt Eldon's hand against my shoulder. I turned to him and he held a bright smile.

"Don't worry about this room. I don't believe we will be needing it anymore." He trailed off as he looked around. He pulled me up from my position on the floor. He turned me to look at him. "You're ready."

I gathered all of my belongings from the room I had been staying in for the past month. I closed the door and headed out of the tower where Eldon was waiting for me, feeding the horse a carrot. The creak of the door made him turn around. I approached him.

"Thank you, really, for everything you've done for me." I said as I adjusted the pack on my shoulder. He gave me a warm smile and pulled me in for a hug.

"You get home now and protect those boys. You're going to make your father proud." He pulled back from the hug and untied my horses lead and handed it to me. I hopped onto the back of the horse and grabbed the reins.

"Good luck, and be careful." I nodded my head once before kicking my feet back slightly making the horse gallop back towards home.

I'm coming home.
