Angelo walked me straight to my house before walking to the direction of his. With the spare keys I always carried with me, I opened the front door, and no one was home. "Daddy?" I called out. I took out my phone and texted Angelo, telling him that I was home alone. He wanted to know if I'll be okay being alone and I reassured him that it was fine. I wanted to rest. I went to my bedroom and freshened up. After I was done, I went downstairs to make something to eat for Daddy and I. I waited for hours until I gave up and went to chill in my room.
There was nothing I could do other than binge watch anime.
Shouldn't you be snooping around the house? You could find something more interesting other than this.
I groaned inwardly, closing my eyes. Just when I least expected it.
Come on, I know you want to.
"Hell no! I won't do that. I trust Daddy, he wouldn't hide anything from me."
Keep telling yourself that sweetheart.
I crept onto the bed slowly. Sleeping was not an option. I wanted to be awake when my dad returned.

Michael hadn't noticed that the sun was setting and that he had to pick up his daughter from school. He was completely mind-blocked due to the woman in front of him. He had been waiting for hours just to talk to her. She was seated behind her mahogany table, looking like the boss of an underground drug trafficking ring. Well, she was, minus the drug trafficking thing. Or could be both. "I really do not understand what the deal is here, Michael." Her voice was silky and calm. Bold and direct. Michael rubbed his temple gently. "I have been waiting for hours just to be in this office, Uncca-"
"I am a very busy woman Michael. It's always advised that you make an appointment before going to someone's workplace."
"An appointment!? Uncanny, are you listening to yourself?"
"Loud and clear. Just get to the chase. I don't have all day." She fake-yawned, looking over her computer.
Michael was an awe. How could such a pretty face be so...canny and uncanny(mysterious) altogether? Guess now he knew why her parents gave her that name. He calmed himself down as to not get too upset over the situation. He tried not to glare daggers at her. "Why don't you come home?" He asked. Uncanny's brows creased, her eyes narrowing. "Home?" Michael nodded.
"My home is here. With my businesses. My ambitions. Which home are you referring to?"
"With me and your daughter. You do remember her right?"
Uncanny briskly got off her chair. Placed her left hand on her hip. "Of course I remember. The one I didn't ask for?" Guilt flashed in Michael's eyes before it was replaced by fury. He got off his chair too and walked over to her side of the table. Face to face. "How can you have the stamina to say that Uncanny? We both are responsible. In fact, you're the one who called me that day."
She chuckled. Throwing her hands in the air in emphasis of her frustration. "And you had the audacity to come in!"
"Yeah! Cause you asked for it."
"I was in the freaking moment Michael. Gosh!" She pushed him away and walked over to her large window; hugging herself.
Tension struck the entire office. Michael placed his hands in his pockets. Stood a few inches behind her. Her curly hair had been tied into a tight bun. Her white bodycon dress hugged her nicely. Being the Chief Executive Officer suited her perfectly. He breathed in her scent from the back of her neck. The simple act made Uncanny's breath hitch. She swallowed hard. Michael knew exactly what he was doing, thus he didn't move away from her neck. He continued to assault her the way he knew she loved-without having to lay a single finger on her. "Do you regret it?"
Uncanny breathed heavily. Enjoying the pleasure of his hot breath against her skin. It made her feel tingly. She was silent. In a blink of an eye Michael held her waist firmly and brought her back closer to him, while the other hand gripped her neck from the front. He tilted her head back. Brought his lips closer to her ear. "I asked you a question Canny." This time around she could not resist. She was taken aback when he gripped both her waist and neck. She let out a breathy moan. "I-" she begun and that made Michael tighten his grip a bit, gently biting on her ear. She moaned out loud. "Michael, please don't...D-don't do this." She stammered.
He briskly turned her around to face him and brought her closer to him. They held the position and eye contact for a moment before Uncanny wriggled out of his hold. She regained her composure and walked back to her chair. Michael was disappointed by the act, he gathered his strength to sit back at his chair facing her. Hand on his chin. Uncanny cleared her throat, "Look, Michael. I can't..."
"Why not? How can you sleep at night knowing that you wanted to give up your own flesh and blood for adoption. In fact you wanted to do it behind my back." Uncanny fell silent. "Anyways, it's all in the past-"
"Exactly Michael. You and her are my past. I never wanted to be a mom."
Time stilled for a moment or two.
"How can you say that? That girl needs you. At least do it for her, not me. You and I were never a thing anyways..." he blurted out.
Uncanny's heart broke into smithereens. She hadn't expected him to be so rude. "Get out." She breathed, folding her arms together; trying not to fall apart. Michael realized his mistake and remorse was evident in his eyes.
"Uncanny, I-"
"Get out, Michael. Before I call security."
He bit his tongue and slowly walked towards the door. "Good day, Ms Valley." He left her building. He breathed in the cold air of the night. "Kamilah! Sh*t!" He suddenly remembered and quickly drove off to his house.
When he got home it was fairly after 7pm. The lights were off. He locked and was about to head upstairs when an incoming call halted him. It wasn't his. He scanned around the dining room and lounge, he's eyes landed on Kamilah's phone. Incoming call-Daddy G.
"Daddy G!?" His breathing got frantic. "KAMILAH!" He bursted out curse words as he went up to her room. He didn't even bother knocking. She jerked from her study table and glared at him. "Dadd-"
"Who the hell is daddy G?" He cut her off. Her heart raced. "Uhm, he... his my boyfriend," she mumbled.
"Boy-...WHAT!?" He paced around furious. "You're grounded. I'm confiscating your phone. You better break up with him or I will break him." He boomed.
Kamilah was baffled. Her jaw hung open as he walked out of her room.
