Uncanny watched Michael walk out of her office. Her nostrils flared and her hands balled into fists. "Who does he think he is?" she [told] herself.

"I am Marley, whom are you talking about?" A matter-of-fact response was given to her. A petite lady stood at door. She had a smirk smeared on her face. Uncanny's mood melted into a calmer one. "Hey, Marley, what are you still doing here?"

"You're supposed to give me a ride home. Don't change the subject, who got you so worked up?"

Uncanny threw her head back and exhaled heavily, "Michael was here."

Marley's eyes bulged out of their sockets as she sat down on a chair. Uncanny told her friend what transpired prior that day. She was awestruck. "I don't know how candid you can be with Michael." Silence befell them. "Uncanny?" Marley hesitated, as if not sure how candid she should be with her friend. She knew that Uncanny was a brilliant lady. Beauty and brains. Although, some of her choices were beyond idiotic.

"What is it Marley?" Uncanny began packing up. Getting ready to head home.

"How do you feel?"

"About what?"

"Giving up your daughter and the love of your life."

Uncanny struggled with words. She took her files and purse in her hands. Stood up and eyed Marley. "I don't care. I have businesses to manage." She was cold and nonchalant. Tears welled up in her eyes and she refused to let them stream down her cheeks. She walked towards the door and Marley noticed something rather strange.

"Why are you limping? Are you okay?" She stood up and rushed to her friend's side. Scanning her body for any visible injuries.

"Enough with the questions Marley!" She exploded and hurriedly walked to the elevator. Uncanny stared at the other direction hiding her face from Marley as she entered the elevator too. She pushed the ground floor button and they rode in silence. Marley had even more questions roaming in her head. She stole peeks at Uncanny from the corner of her eyes and noticed that she had fingerprints on the side of her neck. Marley gasped, filled with dread. She dropped her purse and momentarily grabbed her friend's hand and pulled her towards her. Without slight hesitation Marley pulled her into a tight embrace. Uncanny broke down. Dropping her things as well. Accepting the comfort of her friend. Clinging onto her for dear life.

Marley shushed her and told her it would be okay. After she had calmed down, she apologized and picked up her things. Thanking Marley.

The car ride was silent and the air was thick. Uncanny dropped off Marley at her house and drove off.

"Josh!" She called out as she entered her house. Joshua heard her and came downstairs. "Something's wrong." Joshua was puzzled.

"Where? With whom?"

"Uncanny. Something is terribly wrong with her." She paced about. Trying to think.

"Calm down Marley. She's a smart woman. I'm sure whatever it is, she'll figure it out. I ran a hot bath for you my love."

Marley pulled her long curls in frustration. "You don't understand Joshua!" She flustered.

Joshua held her in his arms. "Okay, how about this. We get you cleaned up and then we go check up on Uncanny. Sounds good?" Marley nodded. He picked her up bridal style and went upstairs.

Uncanny drove in the night, her vision blurry from all the tears welling up in her eyes. She pulled over on the side of the road. She shrieked as her fists hit the steering wheel ferociously. Her heart was heavy. Her mind fuzzy. She picked up her phone and dialed a number. Uncanny placed the phone in speaker. It rung for sometime before someone on the other line picked up. "Hello?"

"Mama?" she croaked.

"Oh my God! Uncanny? Are you alright dear? Talk to me. Where have you been all these years? We've been so worried..." There was silence for a minute.

"Mom, I-" The sudden bursting of a window stopped her from continuing. The window shards scattered all over the car. She screamed. Covering her head.

"Shush baby," she heard someone gruffly say. The person took her phone and hung up the call. Switching the phone off. "Look at me." She didn't comply. The guy yanked her hair back roughly. "I don't like disobedience, baby. Look at me when I tell you to."

"Leave me alone!" Uncanny spat at him. He slowly wiped off the spit on his face. Pulled her towards the broken window. He pulled out a sharp knife and slowly pointed it directly on her left eye.

"Feisty. It be a shame if something happened to Brewsfort's fashion icon, bachelorette and famous princess, wouldn't it?" He growled, kissing her roughly. Tears streamed down Uncanny's cheeks. The guy pulled back and wiped the tears with his knife. Fear eminent in Uncanny's eyes. She prayed and hoped that he wouldn't kill her. "Don't cry, baby. You know I love you." His knife slid to her chest, skimming her body with it. He told her to get out of the car. She did as such. The guy pinned her to her car. Admiring her body. The knife he held in place ripped her dress in half exposing her. She sobbed inwardly.

"Please don't-"

"Hush now. Let me feast in peace." He started to unbuckle his pants, before he could do anything; the feint sound of a siren draw him back. It pissed him off but he knew that if he stayed he'd get arrested. "Keep that pretty little mouth of yours shut." He sneered before disappearing into the night. Uncanny could not believe what she had just escaped from. The police car drew nearer, she realized that she was practically naked and rushed back into her car. Crying out for dear life. She covered herself in a jacket she keeps in her car incase of an emergency, such as this one. Taking in deep breaths, she regained her composure and drove off. She was numb. Everything felt numb. When she finally got home, she locked and double checked just in case. She sighed as she went upstairs to wash away her misery. Making a mental note to not let anyone in.
