Around 10am the next morning, I was ready to leave.I had woken up six hours earlier, unable to get back to sleep.
To pass time, I packed all my things and made my bed about twenty times, panic surging through me. After changing my outfit multiple times, I had changed into a short white skirt and blue shirt with my favourite black jacket.
I was suddenly aware of all my imperfections. How my stomach stuck out slightly, how my hair was slightly greasy and the few spots on my forehead made me feel ugly. I desperately tried to fix myself up until I realised it was no use and I was just paranoid- it took a lot of convincing.
I had been sitting in the lounge for around twenty minutes when Blaire came in, still in her satin pajamas with little flowers on.
She rubbed her eyes, sleepily. "Where are you going? Can I come? I love an adventure. Once me and my mate Bernie ditched school so we could hunt down this magic bear we'd learnt about. We didn't find it though."
"I- I'm going to see Draco. The one I was telling you about yesterday. He wrote me last night. He says he's sorry. And it's a very sincere apology. Not flimsy and fake. I'm sure you can come if you'd like." I offered.
Blaire nodded. "I'd love too! But if he tries to hurt you again, I will pound his head in."
I chuckled at her joke (I think it was a joke) as she left to change into some appropriate clothes.
Blaise came stumbling into the lounge seconds after Blaire, equally as tired. "Whereareyougoing?" He mumbled.
"Draco owled me last night. I'm going to see him back at the Manor. He's asked you to come too though I understand if you don't want to."
Blaise thought for a moment. "I'll come. It's my fault we fell out. I should have got a- well. You know..."
"Yes, Blaise. I know. Go get changed I want to leave as soon as possible." I shooed him away to get dressed.
I smiled to myself. Maybe everything was going to turn out ok. If Draco and I made amends then everything could go back to normal. It would be how it used to be again.
My thoughts were harshly interrupted by Blaise's mother, strutting into the lounge this time wearing a lavender fluffy robe. "Leaving so soon?"
I straightened my back. "Yes." I got the feeling I was being spied on again, like when I first met Mrs Zabini.
