again, i had writers block in this chapter do nothing much happened
It was mid September now, and all four of us had detention for refusing to use the cruciatus curse on the first years in Defence Against the Dark Arts.
We trotted off glumly to the edge of the Forbidden Forest, the night towering over us. It was late now. About 10:45 I think. Lucky for us, perhaps not others though, the Carrow Twins were tending to another detention so they couldn't do ours.
Instead, we had the games keeper Hagrid who I always had a soft spot for. He was always a nice person to be around, even at the darkest of times.
Filch led us down to the forest, panting loudly, lantern in hand. "I don' know how you three got off so easily. You should be hanging by your thumbs in the dungeons."
I gulped loudly, whilst Blaise and Blaire were holding back laughter. Draco seemed unbothered. The light from the lantern shone brightly, illuminating Draco's face, no longer pale but glossy and lit. I smiled to myself.
He side-eyed. "What?" He asked. "Nothing." I said quickly, smiling down at my feet. "No, tell me." He demanded softly, clearly getting self conscious.
I moved closer to him, snuggling against his coat. "You look so beautiful." I could feel him blushing. "I love you." He said, kissing my hat.
Filch groaned and slowly rolled his eyes, making Blaire and I chuckle. We eventually reached Harris's hut, and he was playing a wooden flute I saw him whittling the other day.
"Alrigh' everyone?" Hagrid asked, standing up slowly. "This lot deserves to be punished, Hagrid. Dont thunk this is some sort of play date."
Hagrid looked at us, scanning to see who he knew. He smiled at me, then pulled me into a tight hug. "How 'ave ya been, Pops? I 'aven't seen ya' in wha' feels like years!"
"Hi, Hagrid." I beamed, still being slightly squashed by his big coat. He pulled away and looked at the boys and Blaire. He ignored Draco and Blaise.
"See ya brough' a newbie, eh?" He turned to Blaire. "What's yer name then?" Blaire composed herself. "I'm Blaire. Blaire North."
"Oh yeh! Yeh got sorted at the start of the 'ear!" She nodded, clearly feeling awkward in this situation. "Well. Let's get goin' then. Today, we're jus' goin' into the fores' to pick up some supplies for meh. Ain't to bad, eh?" Hagrid announced, leading us into the forest.
We split off into two groups- me with Draco and Blaire with Blaise and Hagrid- and set out to find some supplies. "What was it we needed to get?"
I sighed. "Knotgrass, theses black flowers, Bubotubers and whatever we think looks interesting." Draco was nodding then frowned. "What if it's dangerous? Or poisonous?"
I shrugged. "Then RIP to us I guess?" I carried on walking, whisky Draco raised his eyebrows then trailed after me.We had been walking for no mor than ten minutes until we came across a pretty black flower. "Ooo! Look! We've found something." Draco smiled as I bent down to pick it. "Well done, Pops."
I was about to pick it from the ground when a deafening 'neigh' could be heard from our right. I jerked my head up in surprise and retreated from the flower and back to Draco.
A tall, slender-looking figure was trotting towards us. Literally. An elegant centaur came to stand in front of us, his body muscular and big. I recognised him to be Firenze. the centaur I had met whilst serving detention in my first year with Harry.
"Miss Carson. So long it's been. Yet you look dashing as ever." I smiled.
"It's great to see you, Firenze. Have your heard forgiven you yet?" I asked.
