My stomach lurched horribly, the whole world stretching and twisting before me, colours of all sorts blending with each other like a watercolour painting.
Finally, we stopped, and I stumbled slightly. My vision cleared, and everything came back to life. My mouth tasted sick, and my heart was pounding.
"Here," Draco said, holding out a water bottle. "I know you hate apparating. But it was too far to walk. And neither of us can drive."
I thanked him, and gratefully took a few small sips of the water. It was crisp and cold in my mouth, relieving me of feeling ill.
"It's charmed,' said Draco, "to make any sickness go away. It's quite helpful really. Here. Let me do the warming charm on you real quick."
A trickling sensation overcame me, like hot water being showered over me. Draco led me out of the alley way we were hiding in, so we weren't seen apparating, and said, "Here were are!"
We were stood at the edge of a large square with a concrete floor, and dozens of people, beaming to each other and walking around happily.
It was some sort of Christmas market- that much was obvious. There were stands of food and hot drinks, cider and toffee apples, and Christmas decorations. Lights upon lights were hung from lampposts, and above the square, which I'm sure would look terribly pretty when lit.
Everyone was wrapped up in scarves and woolly hats, gloves and mittens, noses red from being out in the cold. "It's beautiful, Draco! Wow! I've always wanted to come back to a Christmas market!"
"I know you like re-visiting muggle places, and I've never really experienced muggle stuff so... I don't know I just thought it would be a nice date for us." Draco explained, shrugging his shoulders.
My heart swelled, and I flung my arms round his neck and squeezed him tight. "It's perfect," I whispered. I felt him smile into my collarbone, his hot breath making a warm fuzzy patch on my neck.
We both pulled away, and locked fingers with each other, though seeming slightly hard feeling as my fingers would engulfed with mittens.
The bitter wind was making my ears tingle with numbness, despite the warming charm that Draco had cast, stretching out to my entire body. I longed to get warm.
Draco must've noticed, as he frowned, and led me over to a little stand tucked away behind a fountain. Draco looked to the little menu on the chalkboard behind the man at the stand. his brow furrowed in confusion.
"Excuse me?" He asked the slightly chubby man with a greying beard behind the counter, "What is a 'Masala Ch- chaye?"
I looked to where Draco was pointing with his gloved finger. It read 'Masala Chai.' In this little town, Chai was a very popular beverage, and the man was obviously annoyed that Draco didn't know what it was.
The old man huffed loudly. "It's a tea." He said, not wanting to elaborate any further.
Draco scrunched his nose. I tapped his shoulder. "Try it. It's actually really nice."
He rolled his eyes. "Fine." He whispered to me. "We will get that chai tea thing, and a mocha coffee and a hot chocolate."
The man got to work with our drinks, and I turned to Draco. "What if I wanted a coffee? It's not like I'm a child. I can drink caffeine." I said stubbornly yet teasing him really.
His cocked his head, and smirked slightly. "Do you want a coffee?"
I opened my mouth to retort, bit closed it immediately. "No," I mumbled.
