17/365
Day 17 of 365
The heart remembers what our minds couldn't.
When I was younger, I had tons of dreams that my present self could no longer remember.
I took a time to think of what I am interested in these days. Well, I'm trying to draw characters that stand out because of their great fashion sense. I'm also planning to learn how to sew.
A memory randomly flashed on my mind.
I remember how I used to draw dresses and stylish clothing as a kid, how I once dreamed to be a fashion designer.
I thought that dream of mine died as I grew older.
Now I realized, we can never "unlove" the people or things we once loved with all of our hearts.
There are certain things like songs, scents and even the most random stuff that gives a different warmth to our hearts. The familiarity it brings takes us back to when everything was simple.
Right now, I still have tons of dreams. I hope I get to achieve all the things I always talk about having.
I couldn't imagine settling in life with nothing but familiarity from dreams that I've lost along the way.
Maybe it's time to start treating our dreams as something precious that we wouldn't want it to just vanish in thin air. Treat it like an expensive part of you, too expensive you couldn't afford to lose.
We'll get there someday. Tie your dreams together and make a rope of hope that'll serve as your guide.
They say, "Burried feelings grow," But dreams are not feelings. It's something else. It hangs on and becomes part of us.
You either show it or let it show you.
