29/365
Day 29 of 365
I've read something somewhere and it stayed in my mind for a long time.
I can't remember the exact phrase but it talked about how the habits, mannerisms, traits or anything that we pick up from the people in the past shaped us into the person we are now.
I have met a lot of people who were bad for me, but if I were to go back to the day that I met each and everyone of them, I'd still want them to be part of my life.
Despite the pain and trouble they've caused me, I'm still thankful that I got to know them.
When we are so close to a person, we start to pick up the way they speak, react, think and even start to love the things they love. Even if that person is no longer part of our lives, the pieces we've got from them will remain.
I am amazed by this realization, everything really does happen for a reason.
Those people, good or bad, entered our lives for a purpose. They came and left for a reason.
A friend who betrayed me once gave me tips about art, I still use those tips as a guide whenever I draw.
I somehow understand why they had to leave my life and stay only in my memories.
They weren't meant to stay... and that's okay. The collection of pieces I had from them helped me be the person that I am today and I am more than thankful for that.
