I dated Adrien years ago.
I left him.
I returned to Paris without so much as an explanation to where I had been all this time.
I dated him again.
It was the right decision, or so I thought.
Chole's POV:
I got a new job.
It paid well.
I knew Adrien supported me.
It was as usual.
One day, my boss asked me out.
I refused at first.
Later, I said yes.
Chole's POV:
I thought it strange when he paid for all the meals.
I could not complain, since he bought me dessert.
I never understood the work meetings.
Mostly, he just complained about some overweight woman.
I recalled he called her, "The Whale."
"Why did he discuss her so much?"
I admitted it made me jealous of her.
Chole's POV:
I lied to Adrien.
I denied everything.
Today, I found the lies overwhelmed me.
I dumped Adrien.
Chole's POV:
I dialed his number.
"Did you tell her, Luka?"
I heard no answer.
I feared the worst.
Could it be that he played me all along?
I, Chole Bougerious, was not about to give him up.
