  Alya's POV:

I  booked an appointment at the salon.

It had been months since my last hair cut.

Good thing too, because I saw someone I did not expect to see inside the place.

   I was shocked beyond words.

What was my bestie doing here?

    Alya's POV:

"Marinette, girl, what brings you here?"

I waved to her as I spoke.

I was relieved when she waved back.

At least she did not appear to be upset with me.

Then, again, it was hard to tell sometimes with Marinette.

I recalled how she did have a habit of bottling her feelings inside back in high school.

   I sighed.

Somehow, I felt like this was going to be a long day.

    Alya's  POV:

I asked for my hair to be cut to my shoulders.

I saw Tiffany, my personal hairstylist cringe.

   It was rather amusing.

Who cared if she did not give her approval?

This is my hair we were talking about here.

   I grinned.

"Oh, and this time add a few purple highlights too."

I could not wait to see the look on Nino's face when he saw me.

I did have a date scheduled with him this evening.

   Alya's  POV:

As she finished my hair, I turned to see how Marinette's was coming along.

I gave her a thumbs up.

All things considered, my best friend's new style was fabulous.

  "Wow, girl you look great!"

I could hear her mutter, "Thanks, Alya."

   I handed Marinette some cash.

I explained it was so she could buy some new clothes.

I went onto add, "I mean if you want to."

I did not want her to think her old clothes were bad despite their being out of date.

I  paid Tiffany then left the salon.

Now, it was time for some of Alya and Marinette's best friend time!

   Alya's  POV:

I  watched in amazement as Marinette entered a dress shop.

   I followed her.

I saw her enter the changing rooms.

I had an employee a few pink items.

"Here, get her to try these on, she likes pink."

The lady nodded her head in approval.

  I  was relieved.

I saw Marinette come out in one of the silliest outfits ever.

"Are you trying to represent a dead pink flamingo?" I asked in the nicest way possible.

  Alya's  POV:

I saw her as she turned and reentered the changing area.

I  gave her a thumbs up when she came out in a rather nice pink, and white two-toned dress suit complete with a matching hat, and shoes.

I did the same when she modeled the pink skirt, white top, and pink sweater ensemble I picked out for her.

I saw her as she purchased all the things I suggested along with the other lovely outfit.

I thought, Ha, that ought to show him.
