   Luka's  POV:

I  paid a taxi cab driver to take me to the finest hotel.

I   handed him a nice tip.

    I grabbed up my luggage.

Upon entrance to the place, I was impressed.

It had not changed a bit.

    Luka's  POV:

I last came here two years ago.

It was good to be back.

I paid for three weeks' worth of lodging.

The desk clerk was shocked. I could tell by the startled look she gave me.

I debated on rather I should contact Chole or not.

      Luka's  POV:

I could not figure out why Marinette was so offended.

It was not like she could not see it coming.

Goodness, she only hinted she knew something was off.

Well, glad to have that dreaded conversation over.

I knew we never had kids.

Probably for the best, I would have been a terrible father.

        Luka's  POV:

I admitted I hoped she would move on.

I  rather her not be all worked up about me forever.

I  did not blame it all on her.

        I was not that honest.

I dated Chole in the past while I was her.

I was devasted when Chole called it quits.

I used Marinette as a rebound.

Yes, I knew it made me a monster.

         I was wicked.

        Luka's  POV:

Years, later I pretended to be happy with that blue-haired girl.

         I admitted she was cute.

I also knew she was not Chole.

I tried to make everything work for Marinette's sake.

I figured Chole would never come back into my life.

Imagine my surprise when she applied to work for me.

         I was excited.

Still, I did not intend to make things become such ruins.

         Luka's POV:

        I was a coward.

I  loved Marinette as a companion.

I  never loved her as my wife.

      I  cared for Chole more.

I should have called it quits before things got this far.

I was bad to the bone.

As bad as I could be.
