Marinette's POV:
I went to the door because I heard the bell ring.
I saw a package.
Who could have sent it?
I picked it up.
I also picked up the envelope.
I chose to open the envelope first.
It held a check for $500.00 from Luka and a note.
I read the note and shook my head in disbelief.
He has no intentions of taking her away, and he sent child support money.
Why would he even bother?
I opened the package next.
Inside were baby bottles, a pacifier, a teether, and a note.
Dear Marinette,
I am sorry for any pain I might have caused you.
Please consider these gifts as a peace offering.

I had no idea why Chole sent such a note.
Perhaps she is the other woman Luka left me for then.
I gasped, poor Chat Noir.
I hope he will be alright.
I sighed. I hoped someday we would meet, and he would hold me in his arms.
Am I that desperate for a man?
A man to call mine even though the last one tore my heart and I am not sure if anyone could ever fix it.
I blushed.
Chat Noir had promised to look after me and my daughter. Why does he sound like a proper gentleman? Is he that polite in real life?
How have I not met him before?
I smirked.
Chat Noir is my new friend. Yet, I can see myself wanting to pursue a romance with him.
I must have lost my mind. Yep, that is it.
I can not be that silly over someone I never even met before.
Why is it that Adrien, another boy, I never met reminds me of Chat?
Strange isn't it?
I smiled as my daughter slept.
"yes, little one, momma is right here."
