CHAPTER 16 : Beatrice

Hindi ko akalaing buhay na buhay pa pala itong secret tambayan ko noong bata pa ako.

Isa itong tagong lagusan na malapit sa lawa na may makitid na daan tapos ang dulo nito ay may isang pintuan na gawa sa kahoy at pagkapasok mo ay isang secret chamber na ang bubulaga sa'yo.

I still remember how I saw this place. We're playing hide and seek before, and I was hiding from Nero and Vincent, together with our other friends, and I accidentally discovered this cosy and warm chamber without even knowing who's the owner, what its purpose is, or who made it, but until now no one has shown up here to claim this place, I guess.

And I know I trespassed on someone's property, but how can I help myself to love and be comfortable in this kind of quiet place?
I hide it as a secret; Vince and Nero never knew this spot, even though I didn't know the owner of this place, but still I marked it as my territory.
Medyo weird nga lang, kasi for 12 years, hindi ko na ulit ito nabisita, but the looks are still the same; it's so nostalgic.

Parang alagang alaga parin ito, may small bookshelf din dito na ang cute tignan and there are also books na nabasa ko na ang iilan noon. Some of it tells story about love, friendship and adventures, may apat rin na maliliit na sofa dito sa centre and a little wooden table.

And if you walk any further into the right side of the corner, you can notice a mini kitchen, and then on the left wing, there are 3 rooms that are all locked. This place is small but very cosy to live in; I'm more comfortable here than at Nero's place.

And I'll never forget how annoyed I was with him! Haist! It's great that this chamber is still alive. I was able to let go of some negativity in this positive environment, but I think I need to go back. I spent so much time here thinking of good things that I almost forgot to check on Edrian's condition. I'm curious if he's all right now.

Naglakad lang ako pabalik, feeling ko kasi ang sarap maglakad-lakad ngayon sa labas.

I wonder if our kingdom would still exist; I'm sure it would surpass the beauty of the vampire's kingdom lalo pa na mahilig si Mom sa mga bulaklak.

Vampires kingdom does have flowers too but because they living in a cold place medyo nagiging gloomy na ang mga flowers dito and even the kingdom itself, hindi na ito pareha noong una na sobrang ganda ng ambience ngayon kasi e, parang nag iba na ang kanilang kapaligiran and I wonder why?

Papasok na ako sa malaking gate ng Vermilion Castle, napansin kong naging alerto ngayon ang mga guards at mukhang may dadating yatang bisita na kailangan nilang salubungin.

And when I was about to enter, they inspected me, which is something they have never done before, and when they figured out that it was me, they just bowed and let me in, and they continued to be stiff and waiting for someone's authority.

Pagpasok ko ay nakikita ko ang mga maids na sobrang natataranta habang naglilinis and some of them are preparing for something.
Maybe I just didn't pay attention to it because maybe this is what they all do without me realising it. I just walked into their circular oval, and when I was close to the door of the castle, suddenly someone pulled my arm, and I faced a woman with glinting eyes looking at me.

"You shouldn't be here!"
galit na pasigaw niyang usal sa akin.
"I thought you're died. And I wish that it were true, but as it turns out, you're here again to pest me and my Nero."
dagdag pa niya medyo kumulo naman ang dugo ko ng marinig kong sinabi niya ang pangalan ni Nero.

Kaya hinarap ko siya at sinalo ko ang mga galit niyang mata na puno ng pangamba at pagdududa napaatras naman ang babae ng makitang hindi ako nasisiyahan sa pinapakita niyang ugali.

"I don't care who you are or what your relationshit with Nero, but I just feel sorry for you... At first, I didn't recognise you; you've grown up too well, but now I finally remember a brat before that was always tailing Nero. Am I right, Beatrice? Still craving for his love and attention? Tsk! Poor little Beatrice..." wika ko na mukhang nagpapikon sa kanya. Umirap siya sa akin at bigla itong tumalikod at lumakad palayo pero bago pa ito lumayo ay rinig kong sinabi niya ang katagang.
