Dona scurried back to the cave quickly, darting past tree after tree until the sight of smoke that was dwindling to nothingness fled from the cave.
She entered to see the boy, still unnamed, leaning over the Baudelaire's in attempts to wake them up.
The soft snores of the members of the snow scouts drowned out most other sound - maybe soft wasn't the best word to describe the sound.
The boy pulled out a familiarly shaped object from his pocket, a spyglass. Dona internally groaned, she always forgot about hers, she kept it safely tucked away in her pant pocket - her pocket! Upon reaching her hand into the pocket lightly to feel for the cool metal on her fingertips, the feverishly, she found no spyglass. She had lost it.
On the verge of a meltdown she watched him collapse it, waking the Baudelaire's from their not-so-peaceful slumber and look up into the mask over his face.
Dona approached him and he looked her way at the sound of crunching snow under her shoes. He shushed them quickly and signaled for them to follow him.
"I had to wait until the fire died down to show you" he explained in a hushed tone.
"A Vertical Flame Diversion" Violet read the faded sign that hung just below it
"It's not just a chimney, it's a secret passageway" Dona whispered, not thinking twice about it. She knew of the passageway and knew she could trust these people to know what it was.
"Yeah, that" the boy awkwardly agreed.
"How did you know it was here?" Klaus asked the boy, he turned to Dona,"How did you not know it was here?"
"Like I said, this organization has their stupid secrecy, I didn't know where it was, I know what it was."
"I've read about it in a book called The Incomplete History of Secret Organizations, Dona I'm sure you know what it is."
"We know that book, but how do yo-" Violet began, but was cut of by a sickly sweet voice that made Dona's eyebrows shoot to the ceiling.
"What are you doing?" Carmelita asked,"Give me those earrings, Rachel" They all collectively sighed in relief, she was sleep talking.
"We don't know who you are, how do we know we can trust you?" Violet questioned
"Yeah, how do we know you aren't a 'bad guy', do you know the Man With A Beard But No Hair and the Woman With Hair But No Beard?" Dona asked accusingly
"Who are the- nevermind. 'Xenial' is an adjective that begins with X. It means being welcoming to strangers. Having a good vocabulary doesn't guarantee I'm a good person, but it does mean I've read a lot, and in my experience, well-read people are less likely to be evil." He said, looking, or what Dona assumed to be looking, between the three of them.
A snore was heard from behind them,"I only watch network television" Carmelita sleepily sighed.
"Well, I trust it, let's go fellows." Dona smiled, slapping Klaus's back and starting to go, but Violet pulled her back,"Dude!"
"Not yet Dona. You can take your mask of now. They're asleep." She suggested, still a bit conspicuous about the person.
"But there are enemies everywhere. Follow me." He turned to go up the ladder above.

A very painful and long ten minutes later, they had all made it up through the eye shaped door that Dona's ankle tattoo very closely resembled.
"This looks like the tunnel we found under our house." Violet informed.
"All of our houses had them, most do" Dona said nonchalantly
