He misses them. He misses what this world used to be like before instead of the corrupted mess it was now. Angrily, he began punching the bottom of a nearby tree, a wooden log being the end result of his labours. It was hardly worth the effort. Nothing was worth the effort.
He sighed, glancing at the sun falling down the sky as it started getting darker, throwing the log on the ground, reluctantly walking away from the tree. Whether or not it was night anymore didn't matter anymore, but he appreciated having the light.
They wouldn't leave him here intentionally, right? It had to be an accident of some kind, his friends would never abandon him. Right?
He shook those thoughts out of his head, not wanting to have to think about them right now. It didn't matter if they meant to or not, because right now he was there, in the cold, abandoned world, all alone. That was where he was now, it didn't matter if they left him on purpose.
He closed the door to the little shelter he'd built, hoping the bed would work. The walls were painfully bare, no pictures or personal touches to make it his, a couple resources and that was it. This place wasn't his home, and he didn't want it to be.
He glanced out of the window at the tree he'd mined earlier, unable to find it. Where the tree had stood before, it was replaced by a swirling mess of indigo and blues, encased with obsidian. He looked back after a second, only to realise it was gone.
