Kim Hongjoong.
January 23rd, 1981. | Friday, 9:45 PM.The crowd cheers, boisterous laughter and chanting from one side of the field to the other. It was Hongjoong's third and last baseball game for this week, and although he sat on the sidelines for the majority of the game — besides the one time he went to bat since one of his teammates sprained their wrist, he managed to get a home run out of sheer panic and luck — everybody came to support him. He was pleased to see his friends in the crowd, even Jieun tagged along with Minhyuk, holding up makeshift signs of Hongjoong's baseball team name.
During his first game of the week, Hyunwoo came by with Jin, the older male waving from the bleachers to gain Hongjoong's attention while the red-haired male huffed and rolled his eyes. Of course, it brought a smile to Hongjoong's face seeing his old friend, and even if he couldn't show off his lack of baseball skill, Hyunwoo still congratulated him on his first win as a team.
Wooyoung nudges Seonghwa's arm with his elbow, his gaze shifting from Hongjoong passing waters to his teammate to the black-haired male. "You're not cheering loud enough for Joong," His tone was teasing, smirking from Seonghwa's eye roll. "Is it 'cuz Changho is on the other team? Wait until Joong hears about this."
"Oh, shut up! I'm showing my support to both teams... Maybe I'm being a little picky— Stop laughing at me." Seonghwa nudges his shoulder with Wooyoung when the pink-haired boy begins to laugh. "I'm never sitting next to you again."
The game shortly ends, Hongjoong's team losing against Changho's in a fifteen-point gap. Seonghwa runs past Hongjoong, congratulating his boyfriend with a wide smile and an awkward high-five which only makes Hongjoong scowl playfully at his friend. He huffs from the heavy arm wrapping around his shoulder, smiling up at Yunho. "Congrats on your first home run," Yunho says, ruffling Hongjoong's messy pink hair. "Don't make it your last."
"Probably will be," Wooyoung butts in, snickering. "Anyways, let's head home. I wanna take a shower then head to bed!"
"Head home? You just went back to your home last week, Woo," Hongjoong says, rolling his eyes. "And I'm not going home now. Seojun-Hyung invited me to a party and I don't wanna miss out."
"Aren't you a little too old for partying, Hyung?" Yeosang teases with a chuckle, avoiding Hongjoong's hit to his shoulder only for Wooyoung to flick the older on the nose for trying to hit the brunette. "I'm just kidding, Hyung."
"You better be or you'll feel my wrath." Hongjoong jokes with a laugh, deciding it was best to slip from his group of friends before they pull him away from the small crowd heading towards Seojun's car. The car barely fit the group of five people, Hongjoong having to awkwardly sit on one of his teammate's lap with a grimacing smile and timid laugh. His teammate didn't seem to mind, for the most part, as his attention was focused on pressing his lips onto his girlfriend's (which made the car ride just a tad bit more awkward than before).
