A wide smile stretches across Hongjoong's face when he noticed Seonghwa standing by the entrance of the school. Aya wasn't by his side today, most likely getting breakfast with her friends, leaving the black-haired male alone. "Blondie!" Hongjoong exclaims, sprinting at full speed towards the older male.

Seonghwa turned his attention from his shoes to the voice shouting his name, grinning when he saw Hongjoong charging in his direction. Hongjoong would have tackled him into a huge bear hug, squeezing him until Seonghwa tapped out, but Hongjoong knows that he's most likely still recovering, so he slowed down and lightly wrapped his arms around the older's waist.

"Red," Seonghwa hummed, hugging him back. "I'm sorry I didn't call any sooner."

"I-It's not your fault." Hongjoong sniffled into Seonghwa's chest, a tear sliding down his cheek.

"Are you crying?" Seonghwa asked, trying to pull Hongjoong off of him, instead, the blonde shook his head and held him tighter.

"N-No." Hongjoong hiccuped, gripping tighter and tighter, feeling his throat close up before he began sobbing into Seonghwa's chest, soaking the black-haired male's shirt with his tears. "You scared me! I-I thought I lost my best friend! P-Please, tell me you're not w-with that monster anymore."

"I'm not, I'm staying at a friend's house." Seonghwa pulls away, a prominent wet spot in the middle of his shirt from Hongjoong's tears. "You're sobbing like a baby, Red. I'm okay now." The older laughs when a booger slid down from Hongjoong's nose, the blonde attempting to sniff it back up.

"I-I was scared!" Hongjoong wailed, using his sleeves to wipe away his tears, drenching the sleeves. Seonghwa comforted the younger male, his cheeks and eyes red from all his weeping. "I promised to protect you."

"Oh, don't be so hard on yourself, Joong," Seonghwa says, pursing his lips into a sad smile. "There's a lot of things that we wish we could stop, let's be happy that I'm here now."

Hongjoong nodded his head, wiping his dry cheeks, "Okay..." The two enter the school and stroll in the direction of the stairs, Hongjoong holding onto Seonghwa's sleeve as if he worried that the black-haired male would disappear in thin air. "Have you been studying? Today is the start of our exams..."

"Of course I have," Seonghwa chuckles, fixing his heavy book-bag that contained all his books and notes that he would need to study one last time before he has to his brain. "As much as I hate studying, it was pretty fun to do when you're bored in a hospital room all day."
