Kim Hongjoong.
November 10th, 1980. | Monday, 12:12 PM."She said... what?" Seonghwa asks, blinking at Hongjoong with his eyebrows raised in shock. "She broke up with you? When? W-Why?"
"This morning," Hongjoong's voice was muffled as he shoved his face into his arms. "She said she did something and won't tell me until she's ready... and that she hopes we could stay as friends."
"Sounds tough, Hyung," Mingi mumbles, crunching loudly as he had taken a large bite into his red apple. "I wonder what she could have done."
"It can't be that bad, Hyung," Yunho assures the older, leaning forward to pat Hongjoong's messy blonde hair, giving him a small smile. "Maybe something came up and she wanted some time for herself?"
"Time for herself? She said she did something bad! W-What does she mean by that?" Hongjoong slides down against the lockers, cheeks pink from shame with a tiny pout on his lips. "Now, whenever I see her in the hallways, she runs the other way."
"So much as for staying friends," Seonghwa jokes, chuckling before abruptly ceasing when Mingi and Yunho scowled at him. "I should have kept that to myself."
"Yeah, you should have," Mingi retorted, shaking his head. "Hyung, I'm sure when she's ready, she'll tell you. Get this! You could look at any chicks without feeling guilty now."
Hongjoong rested his chin on his crossed arms that were placed upon his knees, gazing at the wall in front of them with a large, long window above. "That doesn't make me feel any better."
"It should have," Mingi responds in a sassy attitude, rolling his eyes while Yunho gives him a subtle scowling expression, plainly ignoring him and taking another crunchy bite into his red apple. "You're free to do anything, man!"
"Stop talking with your mouth full, Mingi," Seonghwa replies, throwing a napkin at the brunette. "And you're not helping in this situation, Mingi-ah. Hongjoong is sad about this circumstance. He liked her, so instead of telling him that he should be happy that they broke up, you should try cheering him up by ensuring that everything will be alright."
Mingi huffs and mutters, "I think it's okay to be happy about it."
"You're so dense, Mingi," Yunho playfully says, snickering as the younger frowns at him. "Hyung, have you ever tried out for sports?"
"No. Why would I?" Hongjoong scoffed, rolling his eyes at the thought of sweating buckets because he was chasing after a ball for hours.
Yunho hummed, pondering for a brief second before shrugging with a nonchalant smile. "Well, when Kwang broke up with his first girlfriend back in middle school, he decided to join the basketball team to get his mind off of it instead of crying over it. Maybe you could do the same to help with Aya?"
