The library was as peaceful as ever, with hardly any students around as they were busy in class or concealed in the back. Hongjoong sat at his regular spot, body slumped over his math textbook, reviewing for an upcoming that he knows he's going to fail. Sadly, Seonghwa couldn't make it to the library to help Hongjoong with his studies since he had to finish an exam, leaving Hongjoong alone.

He didn't mind being alone, it gave him more time to focus on his homework rather than babbling with Seonghwa about Changho's wild school life. Surprisingly, Hongjoong began to grow more comfortable with the idea of Seonghwa and Changho's relationship. Sure, the unexpected kisses and hand-holding made Hongjoong cringe, wincing through a smile to ensure that he's not disgusted when he is. Though it could be for the fact that Hongjoong's envious of their relationship but he would never confess that.

"Hongjoong-ah," Hongjoong lifts his eyes from the lengthy textbook, widening in surprise as he gapes at Aya. "Can... we talk?"

"O-Oh, yeah. S-Sure, what's up?" Hongjoong stammered, bringing his textbook closer towards the edge as Aya took the seat in front of him, placing her textbooks on the table.

He wondered if she's going to admit that she did cheat on him and apologize for her actions. She's presumably going to ask if they could get back together... Yet, there was a small part of him that hoped she didn't want to get back together with him and preferred for them to remain as friends.

"I thought it over for a couple of days and I think you deserve to know the truth," Aya said, picking at the tear in her old textbook, pulling it more.

"I'm all ears," Hongjoong said, nodding his head with his bottom lip tucked in his mouth.

She smiles at him, warily, proceeding to pick at the rip before taking an inhale through her nose. "I'm moving back to Japan."

"What?" Hongjoong blinks at the black-haired girl in front of him, taken aback by her unexpected answer.

"That was the reason I broke up with you. I didn't want to weigh down our relationship because we won't be able to call, and I was afraid you'd find someone else behind my back." Aya explains. "Long-distance relationships are hard, and I don't think it'll be fit for us, so that's why I decided to break up with you. I'm sorry..."

"Oh," Hongjoong breathes out, suddenly feeling relieved that she didn't cheat on him since he wouldn't know how to handle the news.

"Yeah..." Aya nods, pursing her lips into a weak smile. "I wish we could stay together, Hongjoong-ah. But it wouldn't do us any good."
