Jung Wooyoung.
July 28th, 1980. | Monday, 9:45 AM.Wooyoung stood in front of the school gates, hands clasping his book-bag straps as he eyed at the entrance. Wooyoung had a suspicion deep inside his guts that Hongjoong wasn't going to pick him up and he'll have to walk home alone. He didn't even want to go inside! Wooyoung knows what the redhead is pulling, aiming to keep his distance away from Wooyoung.
When they were at the mall, Wooyoung could see the uneasy expression on Hongjoong's face, but it still hurt that someone Wooyoung cares about would completely close him off due to his sexuality. Wooyoung may act big and tough around people to show how nonchalant he is, and to get through Hongjoong's head that he doesn't care whether he hates him or not, but when Hongjoong would shift away from him or avoid looking at him, it hurt his feelings.
Hongjoong didn't even keep his promise to come over to Wooyoung's house on Thursday, which is why Wooyoung doubts that he'll pick him up after school. Wooyoung trudged into the classroom and spotted two of his other friends, Jisung and Hye.
Wooyoung pleaded for them to come along with him, knowing his other stoner friends wouldn't come even if he bribed them. Jisung had his feet up on the table while Hye sat by the opened window, lollipop in hand as the wind blew into her fading pink hair. "Hey," Wooyoung greeted them, grabbing a seat in front of Hye and turning to them. "I'm surprised you both even came."
"Why wouldn't we?" Hye asked with a tilt of her head, smirking at Wooyoung as she placed the small lollipop back into her mouth. "You're so cute when you beg, we couldn't say no."
Wooyoung rolled his eyes at her answer. "Shut up." He mutters before grinning a bit, pleased that he wouldn't have to go through this alone. Wooyoung and the rest of the other kids who decided to join for summer school sat in one classroom throughout the entire day until they were able to go home, slinging a bag over his shoulder and leaving the room with Hye and Jisung behind him.
Wooyoung murmured a goodbye to the teacher, receiving a smile and an impressive expression from the teacher due to Wooyoung's attitude today. He participated a few times to answer questions and even ask them. Even though he had answered them all wrong and his question sounded as if a ten-year-old was asking them, ignoring the snickers from other kids, the teacher appeared delighted that Wooyoung is gradually turning his life around.
"Bye Young-ah, we'll see you tomorrow!" Jisung yells to the dark-haired male, Hye ruffling Wooyoung's hair and passing him a lollipop.
"See you tomorrow, you goof." She grinned at him before intertwining her fingers with Jisung, the two exiting the school gates. Wooyoung blinked a few times from the sun, almost blinding him before he drew his attention to the lollipop Hye gave him.
