Park Seonghwa.
June 26th, 1980. | Thursday, 7:12 AM.Hongjoong hopped down the last two steps and strolled into the kitchen, greeting his mother who placed down his breakfast on the table. "Morning, Joong. Did you sleep well?" Jihye asked with a little smile, ruffling her son's hair and receiving a tiny huff from the redhead.
"I slept fine, Mom," Hongjoong replied, bringing out his chair and sat down. He started digging into his pancakes, adding more syrup than needed, and gulping his orange juice.
"Slow down, Joong, you're going to choke if you eat too fast." Jihye scolded her son, rolling her eyes when he waved her off. "Oh! I was meaning to ask about Wooyoung-ah!" Hongjoong hummed in acknowledgment, taking another bite into his pancakes. "When will he come back to visit?"
"He visited two days ago, Mom," Hongjoong replies after swallowing his food, giving his mother a raised eyebrow.
"Yes, I know, but he's like a son to me. Can't I miss him, as well?" Jihye sighs with a tiny pout, resting her hands on her hips. "You're always up in that room of yours to play video games or to paint, it gets a little lonely down here."
Hongjoong chuckles, standing up and passing his mom the empty plate who took it and placed it in the sink. "I'll ask him today when I see him. I'm sure he'll come by soon."
Jihye muttered a small 'he better!' before sending her son off to school. Hongjoong kissed his mother on the cheek, slinging his bag over his shoulder, and rushed out of the house. While Hongjoong walked to school, he wondered about asking Seonghwa if he liked to come over to meet his parents as well.
It'd be a little awkward to ask Wooyoung in front of Seonghwa and not invite him, and even if he could ask Wooyoung when they're alone, he wants Seonghwa to feel included with everything he does with his friends. Once he enters school, Hongjoong notices the blonde-haired male standing by the lockers, picking at his nails. A wide smile stretches across Hongjoong's face, picking up his pace to tackle Seonghwa.
"Blondie!" The redhead shouted, shoving the black-haired male, surprising the blonde. "Haha! I finally scared you!"
"You didn't scare me, Red. You only... startled me." Seonghwa corrected, chuckling when Hongjoong pouts.
"Shut up, I did scare you. You just don't want to admit it." Hongjoong muttered grumpily, the two beginning to make their way to the library. "Are you ready to study for our English test?"
"Not really. You're going to get an easy hundred because you lived in America for a couple of years while I, not an English speaker, will fail this test." Seonghwa sighs, putting his head down dramatically, causing the redhead to snort.
