Kim Hongjoong.
March 21st, 1980. | Friday, 9:48 PM."It feels so good to be back home in Korea!" Hongjoong exclaims over the phone, throwing himself onto his bed and gazing at his baby blue ceiling. It's been a couple of weeks since he's moved back to South Korea, and now that he finally finished moving into his new house, and unloading all of his clothes into his closet and dresser, and finalizing the perfect place for his furniture, he's finally able to rest comfortably.
"I know, I'm excited to see you! It's been seven years, do you know how lonely I was for the first two years?! I had no friends, none!" Minhyuk whines, thrashing around on his bed before it's followed by a sudden thud and a loud 'ow!' on the other side.
"Dude, did you just fall?" Hongjoong snickered at his friend's foolishness. He kicks his feet up and over the frame of his bed, nearly kicking his chair into his freshly cleaned desk beside the opened window.
"No! I dropped my shirt on the floor and I just so happened to be in it." Minhyuk retorts, receiving another loud laugh from his friend. "Stop laughing at me! Anyway, forgetting that, which school are you gonna go to? I hope you're enrolling at Horizon's Institution— I'm tired of being around the same ol' people. I want my best friend back!"
"Awe, stop it. You're making me blush!" Hongjoong jokes in a high-pitched voice, causing the two to break into a fit of laughter. "In all seriousness, I'm going to Ji-Jeo High. It was the only school that would accept me since I applied a little too late... Sorry that I can't be with you. Maybe next year, though."
Minhyuk sucked his teeth from his the red-haired boy's words, and grumbled over the other line, "We're gonna be together in our senior year? I want to be with you right now!"
"We can always hang out, we don't live that far from each other. Stop complaining so much, you big baby." Hongjoong teased, his eyes glancing over to his desk, checking the time with a heavy sigh. "Sadly, your favorite boy has to go now. I gotta get ready for bed 'cuz school starts early in the morning."
"Hah, Joong-ah has a curfew!" Minhyuk sing-songs teasingly, jumping around in his room like a child, skipping with cladded socks on his feet only for him to fall once more. He tried to play it cool, ignoring Hongjoong's boisterous laughter with a scoff, and a playful eye roll. "Kay. Well, we better hang-out at the skatepark again. We need to ride together— You haven't stopped, have you?"
"I have for a little while, but I'll never forget how to do my tricks. I'll always be the professional that'll kick your ass in every skate-race we have!" Hongjoong huffs out a confident breath, sitting up on his bed and placing a hand on his hip — posing as if he were a superhero.
