Joshua's POV:

I kissed Kensie last night, well not really. It was just a kiss on the cheek but I don't regret doing it at all, I actually enjoyed it. Anna was upset last night because she saw how me and Kensie were acting, I had to explain to her that Kensie and I used to date and that there might be some feelings still there which Anna didn't like hearing. But I thought it would be nice to tell Anna about mine and Kensie's history but she started telling me that I can't talk to Kensie, but I told her that will be hard because we literally live in the same house. Anna and I have been sitting outside by the pool all morning, we haven't really talked.

"Are you still upset about last night?" I ask.

"No, but I don't feel comfortable how close you two were being last night." She says.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Josh, it's so obvious that Kensie still likes you. I've noticed that since I got here, and since you told me your history with her it all makes since now." She says.

"Kensie and me are just friends." I say.

"You might think that, but she still has feelings for you. And if we're going to be together you need to make sure that she knows that. Because if me and you start dating and you two are acting like you did last night then I'm not going to feel comfortable." She says.

"Me and Kensie were just having fun last night. I've been through this before with other girls I've dated in the past, they don't want Kensie in my life anymore and they make me choose between them and Kensie and I'm done doing that. Kensie has been there my whole life and I'm not going to kick her out just because the girl I'm dating doesn't like her." I say.

"So you care about her more than the girl you're dating?" She asks.

"That's not what I meant, I just care about Kensie a lot. She's been there for me through every up and every down. I can't just leave her in the dust." I say.

"Well Josh, if you ask me it sounds like you still have feelings for her too so I'm not sure if this is going to work out between us." She says.

"I think we can make it work, we haven't even given us a chance for a week, it's only been a few days." I say.

"Fine, I guess we can keep trying with us." She says.

"Good, because my parents and my youngest sister are coming in a few days for Matt and Brookelynn's wedding and I told them about you, they're really excited about meeting you." I say.

"Why is your family coming for their wedding?" She asks.

"Because they see Matt as another son and Matt invited them." I say.

"Well now I'm nervous." She says.

"No, don't be nervous. You'll get along great with them." I say.

"I hope so." She says.

I get up and walk towards the house and when I walk inside I hear Kensie and Frankie yelling. I walk into the kitchen and see Matt, Livvy, and Sofia laughing at Kensie and Frankie.

"What's going on?" I ask while smiling at them.

"Oh nothing. I just told Kensie to do something and she won't do it, and then she got mad at me when I said if she didn't do it before the wedding then I was going to do it." Frankie says.

I look over at Kensie and see her cheeks turning red, I can tell she's embarrassed. I walk over to her and put one of my arms around her shoulders.

"What did he tell you to do?" I ask Kensie. I see everyone looking at us and smiling.

"It's nothing." She says.
