"Girl hurry up! We're going to be late" Sam shouted down the phone. Her mouth was the last thing I wanted to hear while I was running late. Clearly last nights shenanigans led to the best sleep of my life as I managed to sleep through my alarm. I quickly got dressed after my shower and decided today was a no makeup day due to my lack of time. I shoved my hair products and makeup into my bag for later so I could get ready for the party, quickly wrestled my hair into a sleek ponytail and ran outside to Sam who was waiting for me.

We got into class a couple minutes late and chose our regular seats at the back. As I approached my chair I was met with a scowl from Marcus who was sat beside it. I guess he was still angry about the slap I planted on him at the park. I immediately felt bad about my actions.

"I'm soo sorry about the other day Marcus, I was out of order putting my hands on you" I whispered.

"You can shove that apology up your ass, bitch" Marcus replied.

Sam cackled loudly which gathered the attention of some of our classmates.

"And who are YOU calling a bitch? You wouldn't be saying that if Jay was here. Do you wana get your ass beat a second time?" She said. The class filled with laughter.

Marcus instantly looked scared and turned to face me.

"Look I don't want any trouble yeah. I'm sorry I didn't mean to call you that" he said looking scared.

"Yeah that's what I thought dumb ass" Sam said giving Marcus a stern look.

I accepted his apology and told Sam to tone it down. I couldn't be bothered with any drama today. I got on with my work and watched as the time slowly passed. The boredom settled in rather quickly as I ran out of words to put down on paper. I just wasn't good with writing. I hated college and honestly couldn't wait to graduate.

My boredom led my eyes to dance around the room to see how everyone else was getting on. My eyes shifted from Margaret, the class genius who was speedily writing along, to Mike who literally got the worst grades in our year. Even he looked further along in his essay than me! I sighed heavy as I felt alone in my failure.. that was until my eyes settled on Amber who was sat a few rows in front of me, on the right by the window. I watched as the sun bounced off of her caramel skin as she rested her head on the wall. She didn't seem her usual bubbly though slightly bitchy self and actually appeared upset. Even though the image of her and Jay in the past boiled my blood I couldn't help but wonder if she was okay. I don't know what came over me but I decided to send her a text asking if she was ok. I still had her number saved from the last time she messaged.

I know me messaging is a little random but just wondering if your ok?
Ally

I steadied my eyes on her to see her reaction to my text. A literal second went by before I saw the flash on her phone as my message appeared. I could see from her side profile, her face scrunched up. I almost immediately regretted my decision as I was worried she was going to take the piss out of me. I was pleasantly surprised when she turned round to meet my gaze and smiled. I assume the first look was due to confusion as my message was out of the blue. I smiled back and read her lips as she mouthed the word 'bathroom' to me.

She packed up her desk and told our teacher she had a doctors appointment to attend before leaving the room. I took the hint and told Sam to watch my stuff as I chimed into the teacher saying I was going to use the bathroom.
As soon as we reached she dropped her bag on the floor and wrapped her arms around me tightly. I was shocked by this sudden affection but was slightly used to Amber's dramatic ways by now.

"What's wrong Amber?" I said gently rubbing her back.

She said nothing and sobbed softly into my chest. My face was full of her gorgeous curly hair and honestly I couldn't complain as it smelt absolutely divine. Curly haired girls always used the best smelling products I was sure of it. After several minutes of hugging she finally let me free.
