Falling for my bestfriend

New hair, new me - Chapter 3

It was around 11pm that same evening when I felt a strong pair of arms wrap around my body and carry me upstairs. I had completely dozed off on the sofa after my phone call with Sam.
Half asleep a warm array of cologne filled my nose and relaxed my body. In that moment I knew instantly I was in Jay's arms. He had returned from his date and realised I had fallen asleep down here. I loved when he carried me, I felt so safe in his arms as I snuggled up to his neck. He laid me down on my bed and gently swept the strays hairs away that had come loose from my ponytail. I opened my eyes to see his face inches from mine.
Lips inches from mine..
I smiled.

"Your back now are you?" I said in a husky voice.

"Yep and I got your chinese food waiting for you downstairs, but you can eat that tomorrow. Now go back to sleep baby" he said now laying next to me.

I loved it when he called me that, I knew he meant it in a harmless way, but I could still pretend it wasn't. I turned on my side still tired and snuggled up to him. He wrapped his arm around me and let me fall asleep on his chest.

I woke up around 12pm the next day with a sharp kink in my neck and my hair a mess.
I sighed as I ran my fingers through the damage... That's what I get for sleeping without my head scarf I thought to myself.
I got up and I peered at myself in the mirror, my usually dead straight hair was now wild and frizzy. I realised that it was going to be a job and half straightening it. Especially as tomorrow was the first day back at college, after our one week study break. I had no choice, I had to look pretty!

I scrambled around my bed for my phone and messaged Sam. I asked her how her box dye situation went. She texted back a photo of her new fiery red hair. It looked so good against her deep brown complexion and really added to her look. She had two nose piercings on either side with one being a ring and the other a stud. She looked so edgy already and the new hair really added to her sex appeal.

I couldn't help but get a little jealous as I realised I would be rocking the same basic look I'd had for years. I decided it was time to switch it up!
Instead of my original middle part and silky straight hair look, I decided to go for a sheek half up half down hairstyle.
I had the house to myself as Jay had left for the gym and often went to Ambers house straight after. Both our mums were out organising an event at church. I took advantage of my alone time and blasted Chris brown songs out of my speakers. I had a quick shower and washed my hair before grabbing all the tools I would need for styling. By the time i'd finished up it was around 6pm. I couldn't believe it had taken so long but was happy with the final result. I felt really cute...maybe even a little sexy. I examined myself in the mirror and posed in my little crop top and shorts. It must of been a little cold in the room as my nipples were poking straight through my top. 

"Oii oii sexyy" Jay said loudly now wolf whistling at me.

I laughed awkwardly as I hadn't even heard him come in. I turned to face him and showed off my new hairstyle.

"You like?" I asked.

His eyes immediately dropped from my head to my chest. He looked away embarrassed as he realised I caught him staring at my nipples.
I blushed. From this point on I knew I was never going to wear a bra again.

"Yeah you look.. kinda sexy actually" he said in coy manner, still looking away.

I tried to ignore the 'kinda' part and accepted the compliment. I was glad he thought I looked sexy and I actually felt it for once.
I cleared away my hair tools as my room now looked like a pig sty and then climbed into bed. I made sure to put on my headscarf and then turned on the television. Jay was sat on the bed texting away on his phone. He appeared more quiet that usual so I asked him if he was okay. It was only until I got closer to him that I could smell alcohol on his breath.
Hmm.. that explains why he called me sexy earlier.
