It was around 6pm when Jay left Sam and I at the hotel to go and check on the house and grab us some more clothes. It looked like we'd be here a little while till the house was sorted. At this point I'd realised that prom was looking like less of a possibility. It's not like I would even be able to handle it after today's events. But I'd at least feel more normal if we were there. I turned to Sam who was still conked out in bed next to me. Since it had been a couple hours I felt it only right to wake her up. I'd exhausted every channel on this hotel TV since we'd arrived in the attempt to take my mind of everything but it wasn't working. There was no way I could handle all of these emotions by myself.
"Sam..sammm..." I hissed gently prodding her in the back. She moaned in annoyance.
"SAM PLEASE! I'm going nuts over here!" I shouted prodding her harder.
"Ughhhhh Ally what! My head is fucking killing me!" She groaned grabbing it. She kissed her teeth and sat up to look at me.
I couldn't even hold myself together. Sam probably felt weaker than me right now but I couldn't cope. Her and Jay were always there for me. Like my protecters. I knew I had to grow up but today wasn't the day.
I felt my face crumble as my eyes filled with tears. I dropped my head into her lap and just laid there while she held me."I know babe" she said stroking my hair while I broke down.
"One question though" she asked tapping my shoulder.
I sat up to meet her gaze."What? I asked.
"How the hell did that fucker get me?"
"He hit you over the head with a bat" I replied.
"What is it with guys and these fucking bats" she said looking puzzled.
In that moment we both burst out with laughter. I don't know how she always managed it but she could always make me laugh in any given situation. Even one as dark as this.
"Girl how is your head, that shit looked horrendous when I first saw you" I said examining the bruise.
Sam winced in pain but said she thought it was fine now. We agreed that after everything died down she would go get it looked at if she felt any worse. I got her some ice to place on it from the mini fridge before joining her back in the bed. Her eyes hovered the room.
"Jay gone?" She asked
"He went to get us some clothes" I replied
"Well tell him to get us some food too! I need something to eat with this wine" she said as she pulled the wine bottle off the bedside table.
"Wow, Jay did a really good job girl. The room looks cute as fuck. I can tell tonight was going to be special" she said before chugging the bottle.
I was about to ask her what the hell she was playing at before I realised she probably had the right idea.
If anyone needed a drink right now it was us.
I grabbed the second bottle that was on the table and unscrewed the lid. I cheersed Sam. We laughed as our bottles clinked together."Come on let's get this party started girl! If we ain't going to prom we sure as hell bringing prom to us" she said chugging again.
I jumped off the bed and started dancing with her as she put on a music playlist on her phone. I felt my body relax more and more with every chug of wine I took. It felt nice. Maybe becoming an alcoholic was the way forward. Getting drunk felt good as hell.It wasn't long before I forget all my troubles.
The only thing about wine though, was that it made me horny.I fumbled around the bed looking for my phone to call Jay. I realised just how tipsy I was as I struggled unlock it. I was on my last chance to get my password right when he beat me to it. I answered the phone and felt my heart melt as I heard his voice.
