It was around 8:30am when I felt Jay's lips press up against my cheek and a light whisper in my ear. He said it was time to get up unfortunately.
I turned to him, my eyes barely open."We have to be out of here in a half hour to check out" he said stroking my hair.
I sighed. This was the best nights sleep I'd had in a while and it was sadly cut short. I sat up in bed while Jay gathered the rest of our stuff. I watched while his arms flexed as as he carried the heavy bags to the door. Watching Jays body was always so mesmerising. Though the sound of Sams snoring broke my focus. I turned to her and almost burst of with laughter. She looked so dishevelled. She was splayed out on the bed, her hair wild and her mouth wide open drooling. I swept her curls out of her face and patted her gently on the cheek. She chocked mid snore and one eye shot open.
I giggled"Ohh my head" she said rubbing it.
"Yeah I bet that's the hangover from hell" Jay said walking over, throwing her jacket onto her lap.
"How much did I have to drink last night?" Sam asked sitting up.
"Too much! Now come on we have to get going" Jay said clapping his hands rushing us out of bed. Sam rolled her eyes
"Alright keep your knickers on mate. Some of us have just woken up you know" she said climbing out of bed.
I did the same and reached for my leggings.
Jay left to bring the car round while we got ourselves together. After brushing my teeth and washing my face I got a sudden wave of anxiety. I had just realised I would be going back to the house Ryan died in. Sam must of seen the look of terror in my eyes as she said I was welcome to stay at hers if I felt uncomfortable. I took her up on her offer as I thought some more girly time would be great.
Whilst in the car I could see Sam drawn to her phone. From an angle I could see her sending paragraphs but couldn't spot who was on the receiving end. I knew I was going to question her about it later.
It wasn't long before we pulled up to her house. I told Jay I was going to stay at hers. He looked surprised but said I should do whatever makes me feel comfortable. I gave him a kiss and told him I'd come by his tomorrow morning. Sam and I headed in doors, greeted her mum and immediately made our way to the kitchen where there was a two plates of freshly cooked breakfast. Eggs, bacon, pancakes, the lot! My mouth watered. Sam must of told her mum we were coming. It took me literally minutes to devour half of my plate. The food filled my stomach with goodness, I was so happy. I looked over to Sam opposite the table and was surprised she had barely touched her plate. If anyone was as much of a pig as me, it was her so I was confused. Again she was glued to her phone typing away. I finished my food and headed up to her room regardless.
I flicked through the channels on her tv and felt myself drifting to sleep. Just when I had almost completely nodded off Sam burst into the bedroom and slammed the door.
"What's going on with you?" I asked concerned.
"Girl it's bad!" She said finally acknowledging me for the first time since we arrived.
"Well spit it out!" I said anxiously.
"Alex has been calling me non stop since yesterday. I've been ignoring him but he won't stop texting me. He's saying he hasn't heard from Ryan, and he's saying we must have done something and ALLY I JUST DONT KNOW WHAT THE FUCK TO SAY!" She said frantically screaming.
"Holy shit, are you trying to get the whole street to hear you?" I said running over to cover her mouth.
"Well what are we going to do, should we kill Alex as well?" She said.
