Chaff's POV

I wake up and I'm surprised to see Seeder in my room. "Good morning Chaff." she says, smiling, "I need to tell you something." I lean forward, it must be something about the games and sponsors or something, but I realize she looks nervous, like she's not supposed to be telling me this. "This isn't the first 45th hunger games." She mumbles,

"What?" I ask, confused.

"You see, there was another 45th Hunger Games, it was about a girl named Serena. She was from district 4, a career, and her older brother was a victor, and she won. However, the boy from 2, named Slate, loved her and she loved him. However, at the end it was just them, and he stabbed himself and fell over a cliff. And before they could even say she won, she did the same, which left no victor.

So they didn't make tapes, they basically erased it from people's memories, because they cut off the broadcast, so nobody knew. And so they got 24 new tributes and here you are." I was stunned, my jaw was dropped and I just stared at Seeder. "You can't tell anyone else though, or else we could both die." She said,

"But what about her older brother? Her Parents?" I asked, extremely confused. "The older brother was killed by the capitol, and they made it look like a suicide. The parents commited suicide as well, on their own terms." I think I understood now, but I still was shocked.

"Are we going to training?" called Soya, who is acting impatient. "Yes, lets go." Seeder said, putting a smile back on her face. I went down the elevator and I saw the training room. There were many stations, the left side was stations, and the right side were survival stations, with a cafeteria in the back.
