Finbar's POV
It's day two of training and I walk to the elevator. "Make sure to get on the other Careers good side, ok?" suggests Muscida, and Mags gestures that she agrees with her. Me and Siren walk over and we talk because we are early.
"We need to focus on survival stations, we know we are able to hold our own in weapons." Says Siren, looking at the elevator,
"Yeah, I know, but we could definitely try new weapons, like rope to choke someone, or flails." I answer, also looking at the elevator.
The 6's arrive and they are closely followed by the 7's, and we wait in the cafeteria for all the tributes. Once they all arrive, Ater says, "Second day of training... begins now." We walk over to the other Careers, who are talking strategy.
"We need to intimidate these other tributes." Says Blaze, and they all agree, I agree as well, and only the 3's, Siren, and Gleam disagree. We decide to pick on the smaller tributes while the others focus on survival stations, for whatever reason.
We start with the boy from 6, and we find him trying to make a trap, like he's ever gonna get the chance to make one. "Hey, you can keep trying, it's not gonna work." laughs Luster, "Show him how it's done Finbar." The boy looks up, and before I can show off, the girl from his district comes over.
"Move you idiots, don't make me get the instructor." She says, and the others just laugh. "Hey instructors, these idiots are crowding the trap station." She yells, and the instructors pull us away while Luster curses under his breath.
We decide to pick on others while they're going up to the roof, and we catch the 12's go into the elevator. "Awww, look at that," Says Blaze as they blush while looking at each other, "it's sad none of you will make it out alive, better say your last goodbyes." This causes the girl to cry and my teammates laugh at them, and I join in. I want to win, but why are we wasting our time giving the other tributes a hard time?
They pick on the others a few more times, and I go over to Siren and tell her what we have been doing. "It's just dumb. I don't want to be teammates with idiots." I whisper,
"We have to Finbar, we won't survive if we don't." I nod, and Ater ends training.
