Jaypaws POV

After he went to Stoneteller to get healed, Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw pulled him aside to lecture him.

He and Hollypaw weren't on speaking terms, but their parents had forced them to eat side by side during breakfast. They said we should make up before somthing happens that makes us regret fighting so long.

Jaypaw was delighted even though he was forced to sit beside Hollypaw.

The whole meal Jaypaw had been trying to get Half Moon to look at her so he could try to apologize without speaking.

Finally, Half Moon looked up, meeting his eyes for the first time that day. Jaypaw treid to make his eyes as apologetic as possible.

Half Moons eyes lit up upon seeing his look, and he assumed that meant she new he was sorry.

I'll talk to her after the meal. Jaypaw decided. I'll have to anyway, we're going to be working togther today.

Jaypaw noticed that Hollypaw was glaring at him, so he rolled his eyes.

What right does she have to tell me what to do?!

Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw had tried to make him feel bad about his fight with Hollypaw, but Jaypaw was stubborn. It was Hollypaws fault.

If she stopped being a bossy fox-heart, Jaypaw would talk to her again.

Jaypaw remembers a few moons ago, when Lionpaw refused to talk to Hollypaw.

Lionpaw had been sneaking out to see Heatherpaw, a windclan apprentice. When Hollypaw found out, she orderd Lionpaw to stop, saying if he didnt she would tell.

Jaypaw hadn't cared much about that, so he just ignored their feud. Know, Jaypaw understood why Lionpaw had hated her so much.

Jaypaw was going to go to the cave of pointed stones, because right after the meal Half Moon dissapeared.

Is she mad at me for being mean? Jaypaw wonderd. I thought she understood... whatever, I've had enough of this.

But before he got to the cave, Lionpaw stopped him.

"Hey, can we talk?" He asked.

Jaypaw growled slightly. "I have to help prepare the herbs."

"Please."

Jaypaw sighed, giving up.

"I'm not trying to sound like Hollypaw or anything, but do you like Half Moon?"

Jaypaw let out a hiss of anger. "Did she set you up to this?!" He exclaimed.

Lionpaw stepped backwards. "No! I understand that Hollypaw needs to back off. She did this to me too, rember?" Lionpaw defended. "I.. I just want to know if you actually like her.."

Jaypaw sighed. "I.. I guess I kinda do." Jaypaw admitted. This was the first time he admitted it to himself.

It felt good to finally admit it.

Lionpaw sat down, worry coming off him in strong waves. "You know you can't be with her, right?"

Jaypaw rolled his eyes. "I know. We're just freinds, that's all." Jaypaw promised.

He wanted to be annoyed, but unlike Hollypaw, his brother was actually trying to help.

"That's what I said about Heatherpaw... I was lying... I'm just saying, you can't get caught up in this, because the clans need you."
