Half Moon's POV

"That's not fair! Your helping him!" Feather wailed.

Half Moon chuckled. Moon had her sister pinned underneath her, with a proud look on her face.

Half Moon was sitting to the side, giving advice to both kittens when she seen fit. "I've helped you just as much."

Feather huffed. "Yeah, but you let her pin me down! That's not fair!"

Half Moon rolled her eyes. "Well, what are you going to do to get her off you? I would try to jump up and flip her off while she's distracted."

Moon, who had begun to relax listening to their exchange, widend her eyes, realizing what Half moon meant.

Feather sprung forward, knowing Moon off her and pouncing. They rolled away, a flurry of fur and meows.

Half Moon shook her head, shutting her eyes. She had begun playing with them more often. They were such good kits, and Half Moon loved helping Leaf out with them whenever she could.

Half Moon heard a shriek, and the two kittens came running back, tails between their legs.

Half Moon jumped up, sniffing them both. "What happend?" She asked.

Both kittens were huddling around her legs, shaking. "We ran into a fight." Feather whispered.

Half moon's mind clouded with confusion as she treid to figure out what that meant. "Screech was fighting with one of the strange cats, and we ran into him. It was really scary." Moon spoke, but she didn't seen to scared anymore. She looked extremely excited.

Cats didn't fight much in the tribe. The only fights that happend were with the trespassers, but nobody told the kits about that.

"Screech is fighting!? Who?" Half moon asked. Then her heart sank.

Of course! You should've seen this coming, you mouse-brain!

"You two stay here, I'm going to see what happening." Half Moon said.

Feather nodded quickly, and Moon murmerd a quiet okay. Half Moon didn't have time to second guess her answer.

Looking around, she noticed a crowd quickly gathering in one area and walked that way.

She gasped at what she saw. Screech had Jayfeather pinned to the ground. Jayfeather was trashing and biting, and it seemed Screech was taking more damage.

Half Moon hurriedly tried to push herself through the crowd to stop them, but on one would move.

"Get off of him!" The pale grey she-cat shouted. Half Moon was pretty sure she heard her name was Dovewing, but couldn't really rember, plus, she didn't really care.

The grey cat jumped on Screech, forcing him off Jayfeather.

Pebble leaped up, launching herself at her. "Stay away from my brother!" She hissed.

Oh no! Half Moon watched in horror at the fight that was breaking out. This is all because of me!

Another one of the clan cats, the orange one, Foxleap, leapt forward.

"Don't mess with my clan mates!" He hissed furiously. He leapt on Pebble, and Dovewing instantly turned around to Screech.

Jayfeather had just stood up, and Screech was ready to jump him again. Dovewing tackled him.

"Attacking a blind cat when he can't see you? You have no honor, fox-heart!" She hissed furiously.

Half Moon stepped forward, and for ready to leap. Who am I fighting for? She wondered.
